Just been pricing up next year on Disney's site & the price quoted for both SSR & OKW with DDP is cheaper than CBR with CS DDP!
SD:thumbsup2

Yup:thumbsup2 I'm All Booked Out For SSR Next Sept:) Wont Even Need The Park Passes That Come Along With The Package As We Will Have Our Ap's:) I Still Have 2 Disney Vacations To Take This Year And Possibly one In January!!!! Way To Go Eh..

Very tempted to go for OKW but it would mean taking DS -13-out of school again,we're being bad parents by doing it this year! So we will just have to dream!

it's also available in august - i just priced the OKW for august and i can't believe how cheap it is..
and they're offering all of the room types, studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom with free dining...
i'm stunned....and the price is so cheap......for the 2 bedroom it's half the rack price and it includes the free dining....i can't believe it....

can your DS go in august?

Looking at ssp'/kw looking at going next aug for 17 nights 2 adaults 2 kids
room with unlimited pass and free disney dining comes to just over £2300, thats on the disney uk site, sounds reasonable.
the flights are the problem , if i book flights inclusive with disney uk, they use virgin this brings the price to £5900, a massive hike.
Do i hang on and wait for flights to come out, looking at only direct from manchester? If i recall this years aug flights would have been about £740 each.
Whats the best way to do it, anyone advice pls??

I would still book that price.Do you have to fly direct? I know wayne goes indirect sometimes and gets good prices. We are staying at okw in december for the first time but have rented points. For a week in a studio it has cost us £370.Tickets were £487 for ultimate for 2 weeks and ddp (which we had to pay for )is £690.The 9 nights at pop cost £387 total for 15 nights £1934. So your £2300 is an excellent price for 4 of you especially going in the summer.
Are you in a one bed or studio? We have paid just under £900 for the 3 flights but that was with M+M

GO FOR IT:woohoo:

Jono I would hold off on the flights all the major players have been fairly regular with their sales & Virgin & BA have been around the £400 mark.I waited & waited till I finally gave in then 3 days later the sale prices went on:sick: BMI also had some cracking deals flying out of Man but not direct.
HTH SD:thumbsup2

has anyone stayed in a studio? We are 2a 2c 1i and it is allowing us to book a studio. We have stayed at POP before so surely it cant be any smaller!? Got a cracking price, need to book before hubby changes his mind :lmao:

I have just booked for next year    I will sort flights out later :yay:

are you talking about a studio at Old Key West (OKW)?

the studios there are very big.
If you could fit at the pop, you can fit at OKW.

The OKW studio is 390 sq ft.

a room at the pop century is 260 sq. ft.

so you shouldn't have a problem at the OKW.

by the way, the studios at SSR are smaller than the studios at OKW, plus they only have one queen bed and one pull out sofa.....whereas at the OKW there are two queen beds.
so you should go with OKW not SSR.

more info on OKW here: http://www.allears.net/acc/faq_okw.htm

the following is the description of the OKW studio at all ears:
Studios are similar to a Deluxe Resort room, with the addition of a small kitchenette. The kitchenette has a toaster, microwave, under-counter refrigerator with small freezer, coffeemaker, and bar sink. Disposable hot and cold drinking cups, paper plates and bowls, plastic utensils, a sponge, paper towels, a can opener and a corkscrew are furnished. Coffee, creamer, sugar and sweetener are supplied in small amounts. The room is 390 square feet and has two queen size beds, a nightstand, a small table with two chairs, and a ceiling fan. There is an armoire with a TV and dresser drawers underneath, and a nice-sized closet. Inside the closet is a vacuum cleaner, iron, ironing board, portable crib with linens, and a key operated safe. The bathroom, equipped with a hairdryer, is extremely large with drawers and under-sink storage. All villas have a patio or balcony with two chairs and small table. Studio units sleep four, plus one child under the age of 3 in a crib.

the all ears site also has a series of pictures of the OKW studio.....

go look through the series...i think you'll be stunned to see what you'll get..
the OKW rooms are really great..

OKW is one of our favorite disney resorts because of the huge rooms....

also you get a balcony - something you don't get at the values or the moderates...

it's a really lovely resort....and an expensive resort...so if you got a good price for it, i say GO FOR IT!!!

Thank you so much, that was really helpful, looks like OKW it is. I dont really want the little ones sleeping on a sofa! It is nice to know someone who has stayed there and i like the idea of having a balcony :)

Disney UK - without flights

you're going to love it...:cloud9:
did you look at the pictures? did you see the little kitchenette? it includes a microwave and small fridge (under the counter)..
and the bathroom is much bigger than what you had at the pop...

you won't ever want to go back to the pop...

if you book this, you'll eventually want to put a request on your reservation to be in one of the buildings close to the main building...
we never ask for this...we're the opposite - we like to be far far away from the main building...
but since you have little kids, you'll want to be near the main pool....
http://www.allears.net/acc/okw65.jpg

you don't have to put in a building request until much closer to the date of your holiday...

it may have gone up....free dining came out a few days ago...

but i was looking at august, not september..

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

I just found it - I put in my arrival date as 31st August and have just booked OKW with DDP for less than a moderate with the CS dining!

I am soo happy - we weren't going to go back to WDW for at least 3 years as my DH doesn't love it like I do but at that price even he couldn't say no! I am so happy I just ran around the house screaming!!!
:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Thank you!

Looks lovely, we have only ever stayed at the all stars, POP or POR but we said next time it would definitely be a villa. This way you get the best of both worlds and get free dining!
My oldest starts secondary school next year and dont want him missing any school, i think he might find it hard to settle in. We normally go in October half term, only ever been once in august but i have been told it gets quieter towards the end of August, heres hoping ;)
