SSR Models?

We will be home August 14-24 and would like to check out the SSR models and drive around the property. Are the models still at BCV or will they have models at SSR? Thanks in advance.

The models are still at BWV sales center at this time. They will eventually be relocated to the SSR site.

At this time, you won't be able to drive around the SSR site since it's a construction area and is heavily barricaded. You could access the LBV Golf Course Clubhouse by car, but other auto access is very limited and patrolled by Disney security. The SSR Spa is also closed at this time.

You can get a limited look at the area by travelling to DD and walking to the site. You can take the sidewalk at the Marketplace bus stop to get a look at that end of the resort or walk around the Cirque parking lot, cross the golf bridge, past the LBV parking area and view some of the construction from that end.

Great pics, Doc! I am a bit disappointed to see it is a hotel type building and not villas like OKW. How much can be seen from the walkway to DTD from OKW?

Some of those pics were taken from the DD end of the OKW walkway. Some were taken after crossing the golf cart bridge and walking aorund the parking area for LBV. Some were taken through the green barricade.

You can get a close-up view from the OKW/DD boat ride. The drivers will often travel close to the area on the lake.

Just to let everyone know, there really would be no way they could have designed SSR like OKW. We live about 20 minutes from the real Saratoga Springs. The main street in Saratoga is mostly a lot of very nice hotels. There used to be a hotel (the Grand Hotel?) that took up an entire block. So to keep with what Saratoga is really like they would really have to keep it something like that. There are a number of carriage houses in Saratoga Springs, and they could have made a few smaller buildings to look like carriage houses? But to make it all smaller buildings like OKW wouldn't do the real Saratoga Springs justice.
