Our DD4 is completely in love with the idea of having a giant bathtub (I happen to really really like the idea too!) however, this evening she asked if she could take her bubble bath... I just didn't know what to answer her. My first thought was no... cuz then the bubbles would be everywhere, but i seriouosly doubt she will be bathing with the "jets on". Sooooo... does anyone know the "official" answer to this... enquiring minds need to know.

First off, if you are flying, you might not be able to pack it if it's over 3 oz. You could put bubble bath in the jacuzzi, just watch that it doesn't overflow. There will a distance between the top of the tub and the water level. Just so you know, if you are staying in a studio at SSR, the tub does not have jets.

From what I understand, bubble bath is a no no. I used bath bombs from Basin which made the water smell heavenly and didn't hurt the pipes. You just have to make sure you get the ones without "things" in them (like glitter, etc.).

One thing, especially for someone that young, make sure you clean the tub thoroughly. I filled it to the minimum jet line, and ran dishwasher powder through the system, then drained it, then ran bleach water through, drained, and then a tub of rinse water. Maybe that was overkill, but since water can stay in the pipes, I wanted it to be as clean as I could get it before using it.

This is a cute question! Your DD can take a bubble bath in the jacuzzi tub... just be warned that, if you turn the jets on, there will be massive bubbles. My boys did this in the jacuzzi tub at the Wilderness Lodge Villas, and I've never seen so many bubbles in all my life!!! It was so funny-- bubbles about a foot deep. My DH and I still laugh about it because it was crazy. We had to empty the tub completely to get the bubbles cleaned off of our little boys.

If you don't want bubbles everywhere, she could just take a bath without the jets. ;)

Have a great trip!

Thank you soo much for the input! cleaning is a must as I have become a slight germaphobe (slowly transitioning into my mother...) I know that sometime hotels are pretty plain spoken in NOT having bubbles, but hey I do believe this is Disney.. and a jacuzzi without bubbles sounds like a truly missed photo opp!! (I'll have to post the "proper" pics when we get home...) the airline told us that we were able to pack full size shampoo, etc in our checked luggage, we just were not allowed to bring them in out carry ons...

I have never heard of a bath bomb (ok, perhaps not in the way that your talking about!:lmao: ) where do I find those? and please, what are they?

Bath bomb are just a solid form of smelly stuff for your bath . They look like a ball so they call them a bomb. they can be had anywhere that sells lotions and stuff.Bath&Body i think even a place at DTD use to sell them.

Now we have a Juccuzi tub here at home and I do everyonce in a while need a relaxing bubble bath (yea men do take them as well) . I get the water up over the jets , fire them up and just add a capfull right at the intake and bam thick and plenty of bubbles.

I then do a real good rinse with some dishwasher cascade to clean it out of the tubes and they are good to go.

I think the world needs a few more bubble bath taking men!! Us girls have kept that a luxurious secret for far to long.... at the end of a really long hard day there are not too many other things that'll make it all ok than a bubble bath! Thanks for the info!! I will be sure to pack our bottle... that way the princess and the queen, and yes quite possibly the king can have their bubbles!

This is only for carry on. You are allowed to carry on 1 quart size zip lock with liquids in containers 3oz or less. You are allowed to check any size liquid container.

I use the complimentary shampoo for bubblebath in the jacuzzi.

you are staying in a 1-bedroom, right? a studio room has a regular bathtub....

and yes, shampoo works just as well!!

happy bubble bathing!! :fish:

Just wait till men discover the ultimate luxury, a pedicure. I'm wondering if the world will be a kinder, gentler place. :confused3 :rotfl:

I use bubble bath in my jacuzzi at home. Use about 1/4 the amount you would for a regular tub, and make sure you clean the tub and jets immediately after draining it.

I also use bath salts. They make the water smell nice and will give you a little fizz (light layer of bubbles at the top of the water) and are much safer for the jets. Those you could pack.
