been reading the "great news for SSR" thread and find some things very intresting. I have never been on the tour (we always said if we went on it, we would buy into it before we were ready  )
I know the basics about SSR, room layout, pool area, dining options. But what are the future plans? When they reach 800 units, are they planning on building an additional quiet pool? Do you think onsite dining is on the books (we love the option of DTD, earl of sandwich is our favorite in all of the world, no kidding!!!)
thanks in advance...I have always been drawn to this resort, even when we saw just drawings, we are horse people and it is neat to have a "home" that celebrates it. :flower:

The plans that I have seen include FOUR "Quiet Pools" in addition to the main pool. If you've seen the current resort map (with 12 buildings), you're familiar with the main pool and the two quiet pools that were part of the initial design.

The remaining buildings are being built on two separate parcels of land, each receiving an additional pool.

Anything you hear about dining changes is purely speculative. Some have reported their Guide "swears" a new restaurant is in the works. The official company line is that no changes are planned.

Realistically, if the resort gets closer to completion and business is poor at Artist's Palette and/or there's a near-universal outcry for something more upscale, it will have to be addressed.

The main complaint from everyone who has stayed at SSR is the lack of good dinning on location. That's what we also thought when we stayed there. Every other DVC resort has a good dinning area within a very short walk. I would think Disney would have had it planed to add something in the end when there were more guests....... :Pinkbounc :cool1:
