SSR Front desk number?

We leave Friday night to go home to SSR!! I want to call and ask the front desk for my requests. I'd rather call them than MS since they'll be assigning the rooms. Does anyone have that number? Thank you so much!

Getting a direct phone number to the front desk at any resort is no easy task. You usually have to call the main Disney information number and they will transfer you.

IMO, calling for requests is not the best way to go. I would fax the request 2 days before arrival and hope for the best. As everyone tells you, they are only requests and are not guaranteed.

I have faxed several requests and some came through, some didn't, it's all in what's available.

DVC doesn't accept faxes. DVC also asks that member make all their requests on their reservation through MS, not by calling the hotel. Just call MS and make your requests. And remember they are only requests and not guaranteed.

The Front Desk is answered by the Disney Call Center, as long as your reservation has the request noted on it, that is the best you can do.

The Front Desk does not make room assignment any more than Member Services does, the people who will make them, will use what is downloaded into the computer system with your reservation from Member Services.

The best I ever did was when we checked in for a 3 day stay and I mentioned to the front desk person that we would be back for a second stay in about ten days and really hoped to get building 55 at OKW for that stay. She said "just a minute" and disappeared into the back. When she came back she introduced me to the room assigner who said she would see what she could do but that as I knew requests were just that. When we checked in the second time it was to our 2 BR on the second floor of building 55. Since then I make requests but if I don't get them I am good with it since I got the one I really wanted that one time thanks to a CM who went out of her way. I had made the request originally with MS when I made the reservation.

Thanks folks. I actually found the number, but will call MS instead as you suggested. Oh, and I know they are just requests. I could care less really, as we will be at Disney!! But, if I could also be in the Grandstand Section by the pool, it'd be all the better with a little guy in tow! Thanks again!

I never make requests, and I've had a great run of luck till my last 2 SSR stays, both in the dreaded "Carousel Area". So for this June stay I put in my request through MS. I know it never guaranteed but it's worth a try!

Yep Beaslyboo, I never make requests either other than non-HA since we have small children. We were in the Carousel area the last time at SSR too, which was OK. But, this time, I have a 2 year old going and want to be as close to that pool and first bus stop as possible!

Did not put in any specific requests for my son's graduation visit to AKV - (he is there now) but told him how some people really didn't like being near the holding pen area so hoped he had good luck. He said he would just tell the people at check in that view was more important than being near the elevators or lobby or pool etc. Shortly after he checked in I got a picture message on my phone of the view from his balcony - yep right next to the holding pen. He is very happy with the room -it was ready when they checked in and he says animals are going by every time they are in the room and last night they watched the fireworks - two sets of them in different directions from the balcony - It just goes to show that what is a bad room for some people is great for others. I usually limit my requests to upper floor and near a pool if I make any at all and have only ever had one room that I would like to have moved from and that was because of the bus noise.
