We went out at Midnight on Tuesday (I think) to see the DD fireworks. It was cool to watch them right along the path, so close. They were pretty short but fun.
Here is the tip - From our balcony we could see both Illuminations (Epcot) and Wishes (MK - not very well). That was kind of fun, granted it is not nearly as nice as seeing them from the park, but you did have a view from our balcony. We were the first building (of course, only one open) - and on the 3rd floor. It faces a small inlet from the lake, and you can see the DVC Vacation club building and the LBV golf course parking lot. Not sure if you can see them from the ground.
