Hello! We bought into AKV-Kidani while they were offering the SSR Developer points. We have already booked our developer points for May 3-9 2009 and received confirmation. I went on the member website to see if the reservation showed up. I see my reservation for AKV May 10-16, but not my SSR reservation. Should it show up there?

Thanks!

No, they will not show up. We did an AKV add-on recently and got the SSR developer points. We have already made our SSR trip and at no point - before, during or after - did the developer points or the stay itself show up on the member site. We did receive a written confirmation letter about 2 weeks after we booked the trip with developer points and I emailed member services a few times to verify things and they were able to see the reservation. I think they have to process developer points manually so its setup with a different system.

Welcome Home neighbor!

Mine did :confused3 and it even shows the trip booked for December at SSR. Wonder why some show up and others don't?

Were the ones that showed up booked with developer points?

Yes they are.

I booked two rooms at SSR with developer points and they both show up on my member site. It even shows the 10 points left that I didn't use.

I think you had better call MS and verify the points you are using ARE in fact developer points. Unless things have changed developer points and any ressies associated with them have never before shown on member site. It is rather common for the CM who booked the ressie to use YOUR points instead of developer. It would be terrible for you if you completed your ressie and tried to book another with your points only to find out your point balance was already used.

I agree, I would call MS and make sure they used the right set of points. We just got back from an SSR stay on developer points and at no time did the points used or the reservation ever show up on the member website.

My 2008 AKV points are banked. That also shows up on my member site. You guys are starting to scare me.:scared1: I'm going to go look again and I'll let ya know what I find.

Do you have your hard copy from MS with your confirmation number? If so it should I think it should specify "Developer Points".

OK this is what it says

06.03.08 Bank points to use year 06/09 from 06/08 <200> 10

05.22.08 Reservation SSR bla bla bla 12/10-12/17 <95> 210

05.22.08 Reservation SSR same dates <95> 305

05.22.08 Manual adjustment to points transfered in 200 400

New Contract - Annual points allocation 200 200

As you can tell I'm very new to this so if anyone see's something wrong here please let me know. To me it looks like I banked my AKV points on June third and used the SSR points on May 22.

I wonder if the manual adjustment part is why my reservation is showing up? thoughts?

And by the way my little ticker in there said 41 days and 11 hours:banana:

Okay they are not supposed to show up on the website, mine did and I found out why when I mad my first reservation using the developer points the MS person transferred 200 points into my account instead of doing it the correct way the only way we found this out was because I tried to use the rest of my developer points for march and my use year is February and they couldn't use the points and MS had to get a manager to fix it. To the person who's reservation is showing it prolly isn't wrong just added the points the wrong way. I would confirm with MS but I don't think you have anything to worry about.

That's a good idea, I'll look when I get home ........ yes I do a little DISing at work ...... don't tell on me ;)

It looks like they may have done the transfer-thing in your case too, looking at what you posted. I would call just to verify things are OK. If not, as mentioned a manager can usually make the necessary manual entries to fix it.

For what it's worth, our Developer Points did not show, either. Never had a problem, though.

I would call just to ensure they are in fact using Developer Points...
They expire within 1 yr from date of contract with the exception of Interval International..essentially you have 2 yrs if you have initiated a search within the 1st yr...

Good Luck..Points are TOO EXPENSIVE TO LOOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared: :scared: :scared: :scared:

I agree with hellerjw, everything looks in order. Its just strange that the dev pts were manually entered to display on the member site, but we have all come to expect the unexpected from MS and how they operate and change without any notification to members.

Oh and by the way, I'm so jealous of the 41 day ticker, I just today got under 200:sad1:

I just called MS and they looked up the reservation and confirmed that the points used were my incentive points. My 2008 AKV points were banked in June so all is well.

dcamdad don't be jealous
Look at it like this, in 50 days I'll be home looking at a ticker that reads 331 days :scared1:

Glad everything is OK with your points. As I stated earlier MS has ever changing ways in which they do things.:confused3

198 days and counting, time really drags when you are looking forward to something.

Have a great December trip and be sure to do some of the extras Disney does for the holidays.:santa:
