I'm deciding between the two resorts and frequent, good bus service is high on my wish list. Anyone have experience with the SSR or CSR buses and which has the best service? Or are all of the resorts about the same with the bus situation?

IMHO, some resorts are a tad better than others. Those resorts that "share" buses can be particularly troublesome in terms of waits and ride time. My DH and kids just returned yesterday from WDW, staying at our home resort, OKW and for three days at SSR. They were all underwhelmed with the bus service at SSR (which has been my opinion on my two prior visits there). Also, the Epcot resorts (BC/YC/Swan/Dolphin/Boardwalk/BCV) share some bus routes. For that reason, my personal recommendation is to have a car available when staying at those resorts. SSR is a very big resort....some rooms can be a healthy walk to the main pool and hospitality house. Not everyone is up to that. As for the Epcot area, I've seen more meltdowns (kids and adults) on that bus route than I care to witness again. :headache: Nothing against the drivers.....the route is just too long.

Although they are susposed to be the same, I feel that CSR gets a little better service because of the number of guests using the bus. CSR has fewer stops and that makes internal travel time less.

SSR bus routes now do a loopback at Grandstand and a driver cannot go very fast on that road. In fact the speed limit is 15mph throughout SSR. CSR is 25mph and the route is a simple circle route.
