SSR Construction Noise

Anyone else have concerns about the noise from construction after the first phase is open but other areas are not.

We can't decide whether to book now or wait until it's finished.

I will be glad when some of you can actually report back to us from being there.

We want live reports,

I honestly have no concerns at all. For the last year plus have lived with a construction zone in my backyard with a new subdivision replacing the farmer's field that used to be there. That was annoying. We'll be home at SSR in January and most likely enjoying the parks during the busy construction time of the day. On top of that, we purchased SSR with the full realization that this resort was being phased in piece by piece. I don't expect a DVC resort to appear like magic and I'm willing to live with the noise that construction equipment will be making, knowing that my future enjoyment of DVC is dependent on that noise. By then I'm guessing that the major portion of construction will be across the pond from the main buildings -- well away from our enjoyment of the pool and other amenities SSR will have to offer. I can't wait to go home

When will you be there, please share a report. I have heard that it is going to be the most beautiful DVC yet. The rooms look very luxurious.

I'll be there opening week and I can also let you know about the noise. I'm not terribly conerned about it. It is expected, I know the place isn't done. We could have gone to OKW but were excited about being there when it opened.

I also plan on taking a lot of photos of the place. I'll post those when I return.

We'll be there in October over Halloween and again in January - if there's any noise at all, I'm going to Cap't Jack's Oyster Bar for a couple of Rum Runner ear muffs!!
