Could anyone tell me the order of the sections of SSR being picked up and dropped off with the buses? I'm not sure which section to request, and I think I'd rather be the last stop and stand, than be the first stop and go thru the whole resort. Also, about how long does the bus take to get thru the resort if you are the first stop? Thanks!

The stops are Grandstand, Paddock, Carousel, Congress, Springs. I would suggest either Grandstand, CP or Springs purely for location. The other two are a good hike from Carriage House. Springs stop is right across from the Carriage House and main pool. It takes 10-20 minutes to get around the resort and that time varies greatly depending on time of day and how many folks are actually getting on/off and if there is anyone needing extra assistance or traveling in a wheelchair or scooter.

Just got back and stayed in Paddock. Order is Carousel then Paddock, but they are pretty close together. The springs is close to the action, but as it is the last stop before going out to any theme park, bus is usually full. We saw people turned away from getting on a bus at the Springs stop several times during out stay.

Having stayed twice now at SSR with the first time being at the Springs (last bus stop) and Grandstand (first bus stop), I can say without reservation that I much prefer the Grandstand. Not only are you the first bus stop picking up, you are also the first bus stop on the return trip back from the parks - this makes a huge difference when its late at night and you want to get to bed and the little ones are really tired too.

Also, the Grandstand is a close walk to the Main pool and cafeteria, gift shop and it has its own really nice pool and water park area, which was never crowded the week we were there in October.

I think the time to get from Grandstand stop to Springs was about 8-12 minutes when we were there in September. This can vary if there is a need to load or unload scooters/wheelchairs or people with strollers wait until the bus is stopped to fold the stroller and try to organize the kids and bags before getting on the bus. I much prefer the Grandstand or CP areas. We were in the building closest to the pool at the GS section and sometimes we used that bus stop and sometimes the Springs one as we were about half way between each.

Just got back last night. Stayed in the Springs, and I can confirm the bus stop order already mentioned - Grandstand, Carousel, Paddock, Congress and Springs. In general, we were always able to get on a bus (albeit standing in some cases) excpet for Tuesday morning, when there was a 45 minute wait for buses to EPCOT at 8:00 (EMH morning). Three full buses passed by. But other than that, things went smoothly.

As an aside, we stayed at a GV for the first time. REALLY cool - I highly reccomend it if you have a large group and you've got the points.

We stayed in the Grandstand for the first time this past weekend. We have stayed at SSR several times prior mostly in CP. Although I did like the views of DTD from our villa when we had one in CP, I do like the location of Grandstand better actually. It is close to the main area especially if you're in a bldg close to the Grandstand pool area PLUS you're also within a 5-7 min. walk to the boat dock to DTD.

Now CP is much further from there. You can walk to the Marketplace from CP but you can also walk to the west side from the Grandstand so there are lots of pluses there. We were also right by the bus stop, we could see the buses come up the road from our window which was very convenient! It was great being the first stop. It's going to be a tough decision on which to request first next time we stay at SSR!

One minor note about the bus route, the stated route in these posts is for the parks and Blizzard Beach. The DTD/Typhoon Lagoon bus starts at the Springs, then to Grandstand and so forth. CP is the last stop. I only note this in case you get there and for whatever reason you were counting on the regular route.

We ask for Grandstand as our first choice, and Springs as our last. If we are at the Springs and the bus stop looks busy, we will walk to the Carousel or Paddocks stop.

:thumbsup2 I agree. We stayed there last Nov. and we stayed in Congress Park in Aug. 07 and we preferred Grandstand. It was sooo nice being the first drop off at night.
