SSR Building Request

I need help! I had to cancel our early May trip due to a family emergency and when I rebooked SSR was the only resort available for our dates in June. I have never stayed there before and I don't know what the best section to request would be.

I am traveling with a 6 year old and I would like to be close to the qs dining location, a pool and a bus stop (not too much to ask for, is it? ). We will not have a car. Thanks for any suggestions.

We always request The Springs whenever we stay at SSR. We have young children and it is very convenient. The main building that houses the restaurants is nearby, as well as the main pool. There is a bus stop that serves each section of the resort so there is a bus stop nearby as well. The only downside is that it's the last stop on the bus line (I think) so you will be the last pickup and the last drop off. That means the buses on their way to the parks may be full before they reach your stop and you will sit on the bus through all of the other sections of the resort until the bus reaches yours on your way "home." Our kids often fell asleep on the way home after a long day because the bus ride was quite lengthy.

Thanks for the info. How many stops are there on the bus route at SSR?

There are 5 stops. I would recommend Grandstand section. It is first stop for on and off bus, so it will be easy with a stroller/child. The pool has a water play area your kid will enjoy and it is still an easy walk to the Main Area!

I would recommend Springs because all 3 buildings are close to the food and main building, bus stop and pools.

At Grandstand only two buildings out of four are close. Even though Grandstand is the first stop, we found the bus to be packed each time we got on, due to people still on and waiting to go to the other four stops.

The nice thing about Springs, once on the bus you are then on your way to the parks, riding around the resort on a full bus, was not fun.

Thanks for all the advice. It is now all for naught, as I had to once again change the dates due to a conflict at work. MS worked a miracle and found us a room at OKW for six nights during Memorial day week (I think it helped we're coming in mid-week.) I do believe she went and pulled a room back into inventory for us because she had me on hold for quite a while! I love pixy dust!
