I know I've seen it before, but using the search engine isn't all that helpful when looking for specific info. So for those of you who know which builidings at SSR are located where(near pool, etc.), I would appreciate the info.

The building numbering system is pretty ambiguous. If you want to request a specific area, you probably want to request by "neighborhood."

The four buildings in Congress Park overlook Downtown Disney. These buildings are all open now. Note that due to the alignment of the buildings, not all rooms have a direct view of Downtown Disney.

The three buildings in The Springs are all right across the street from the main pool and other common buildings. These units are set to open in March, April and May 2005.

Finally, the remaining five buildings are called The Paddock. IMO, these buildings don't hold any particular appeal. Two of them will flank a Leisure pool. But they will be among the furthest from the main pool, and most rooms should have a water view. These buildings are projected to continue opening, one per month, in late 2005.

Six additional buildings have been announced but will not open until 2007. Some of these buildings will have a view of the Lake Buena Vista golf course, but the design specs have not yet been published.

To get the best idea of where the buildings are...look at the map on Barry's site.

The dates marked on each building in Phase II are incorrect. There were rumors from CMs that they would be opening earlier (starting this September). As far as I know, that is not the case.

The buildings marked "16" (Congress Park) are currently open. The buildings marked "14" (The Springs) will open one per month starting in January. I can't remember the timeframe for the buildings marked "15" (The Paddock)...but it's soon after The Springs.

Congress Park has it's own quiet pool (very nice and very close) and High Rock Springs pool, "2", is the main pool with the slide. It's a 5 min walk over to HRS from the Congress Park buildings.
