Thanks to everyone who helped me through the process of signing up. We are in and even made reservations today ! :cool1:

New question. We are booked in SSR and are bringing my parents who are in good health but in their late 70's. I do not want them to walk a mile to the buses.

Any recommendations on building/floor/room requests ?

Thanks again !

HI;

We recently stayed in room 2425 which is a one bedroom with a water view and steps away from the bus stop. The elevator is a joy.Enjoy your stay. :cool1:

Thank you. I should have mentioned....we booked a 2 bedroom. 4 adults and 2 children traveling. :wave2:

Well I added 50pts today for the good old saratoga. Disney does have a decent offer with the saratoga right now. If you get 100 pts or more , you get 10 bucks off a point. The only problem. You cant use them to feb06..

Congratulations on adding SSR points OffTheIce . Have you been to Saratoga yet ? Any recommendations on building and room locations to be near the buses for my older parents ?

Thanks.....

We were in room #1428, a 3rd floor studio. What size unit are you looking for? This was a great location in terms of being fairly close to the bus stop and close to a quiet pool. We walked to DTD and were pleasantly surprised that it was a nice, short walk there too. We were right overlooking the lake, with Pleasure Island in the distance.

You might want to request a room near an elevator. Each building has an elevator in the center of the building. If you take an elevator up and your room is at the end of the hall, you have to follow the breadcrumbs left by the last guest to find it. The halls are long and winding (shades of Paul McCartney). Plus ask for a building close to the bus stop.

There are stairs at the ends of the buildings, but it could be a hard walk up for elderly people. We were on the third floor and used the stairs up and down because we were at the end of the hall on the end of the building.

We stayed in room 1527 , a 1st floor 2BR dedicated (Congress Park area) when we were there in January. It was very close to the Congress park bus stop, and the quiet pool was right behind the building. If you don't mind being away from the main pool and Artists Palette, this might be a good spot for you!

I should have also noted that this room was right in the center of the building, all we had to do was walk straight in the center entrance and we were there-very convenient when walking from the bus stop or the car!
