I remember this being a big issue a few months ago and wanted to post about our experience last week. DH and I were at MK and were planning on going to DTD for dinner. We decided we would stop by SSR for a swim and then walk over. The bus leaving MK was standing room only and I though I overheard a woman talking about getting to DTD from SSR. When we pulled into SSR she said "Oh I know where we are this is the place you see across from DTD"

At the first stop the bus driver comes on and says "For those of you looking to transfer to DTD from here you can walk or you can get off at the first stop and wait for DTD bus." Well about half the bus got off at the first stop and set out for DTD. DH and I were really suprised. We stayed at SSR last year and never noticed this. I thought it was quite interesting that drivers were now advising this was the best way to get to DTD.

It may have been that someone asked him when they got on if it was the right bus to get them close to DTD. We were on a bus where someone had done this, and the driver gave them a special announcement at Congress Park to let them know this was where they should get off.

I didn't notice other drivers doing this as a regular announcement every time we pulled into Congress Park though.

Has the order of the stops changed? I assumed it would when the last section, Grandstand, opened, but didn't think that had happened yet. When we were last there, the order was Carousel, Paddocks, Congress Park, Springs. (Except for the Downtown Disney bus, which went in the opposite direction.)

We got back last week and the order of stops are still the same. We did have one bus driver that missed the turn for the first stop (Carousel) and stopped at Congress Park first. He was new to the SSR resort.

So then are the buses from the parks to SSR busy all the time. I am going with 2 3 year olds Nov 1st thru the 8th. We usually stay at OKW and love the bus service cause you can almost always get a spot and don't have to wait in line for 2 buses to come to get back. Plus after a long day a non crowded bus is great with 2 3 year olds. So any observations would be great.

During busy times, the last stop (Springs) is sometimes full, not even standing room. But that time of year it should be fine, except at park openings or any of the special event nights (MVMCP).

I like to stay in the Paddock Section. Not too bad a walk to AP or Pools. Second bus stop, usually get a good seat, and not a bad walk to DTD. But with little ones, probably too far a walk to DTD.

It's possible one person asked but literally half the passengers then got off and stood at the bus stop presumably waiting for a bus to DTD which DH and I thought was really odd.

We encountered this too. Lots of people going to SSR to go over to DTD.

Kind of irritated me because I think a majority of them parked over at DTD to avoid parking in the parks. I did hear a couple of conversations saying as such.

Also for those that were staying at DTD area hotels, I heard a few of talking how they used the SSR bus to get back.

I am also wondering how many of the DTD area hotel people are coming over and using the pool. I wish they would start carding because I KNOW there were some people that didn't belong.
