Our family will be leaving for SSR on Easter. We would like to know what type of activities they have for 7 and 8 yr olds. Our kids enjoy the many different activites offered at VB and OKW. Do they have similar things for them to do?

There is an activity center near the pool (community hall). We didn't use this, but I believe they have board games and daily scheduled arts and crafts activities. The main pool is great---has 2 slides--one large and one small, as well as an interactive fountain area. Nearby the main pool is also an area where you can rent bicylces and surrey bikes for the family.

In addition, you could take the kids over to the game room--also nearby the pool area.

As far as organized activities, one of the days we were there, there was a CM who organized pool competitions and activities for families.

In terms of family activities, you could also take a stroll over to Downtown Disney and wander around the Market Place, where you'll find a carousel, interactive water area, live beautiful parrots outside the Rainforest Cafe, boat rentals, and a wealth of shopping and restaurants.

Hope you have a great time! ::yes::

As mentioned above, the pool is great...2 slides, and the interactive fountain area too. The Community Hall is also great. We were there in January for the marathon and there were 2-3 new things to do there each day. They even had special materials in there for the kids to make signs if their parents were running in the marathon. They also a Playstation, art center, tv with DVD movies, board games and more. Activities they had each day included making pottery, decorating t-shirts and making jewelry. We met 2 girls there (ages 8 and 10) who were from England and had been there for 10 days. They said they had stayed there at the community hall one night while their parents went out to dinner. I'm not sure if they had to pay for that or not, but it is supervised at all times by CM's, of course! So, either way, there is a ton for them to do and I'm sure they'll have a great time.!

We went to SSR in January and our (now) 8 year old daughter visited community hall twice with my wife to do some arts and crafts type stuff that they had scheduled.
