When we toured SSR there were activities offered in the "community hall" (not sure of the official name). Has anyone been recently that remembers what those activities were? I know flower arranging classes were being offered when we toured and I was curious if they were still available. Anyone know?

When we there, they had make a door hanger decorate a plate, create a sun catcher out of beads it changed every day . :cool1:

The flower arranging was offered last week while we were there, I think it was on Wednesday. I didn't save the sheet, but I think each day there was something different. You will be given the schedule in your packet when you check in.

:) When we were there in May you could learn how to make towel animals!! They also had trivia by the pool mid-day.

I hope they have the towel animal class in Feb, my 14-yr-old really wants to learn. :teeth:

Thanks for the info. That stuff looks like fun. My niece was excited that one of the discriptions of the Wonderland Tea Party said that the participants got to make bouquets. My aunt is a floral designer so my niece was excited about making flowers "like" Aunt Connie. It just reminded me of the classes at SSR and I wondered what else was being offered.

I guess we'll just have to wait until we get there (January) to find out. Thanks again for all of the information. I really appreciate it.

I kept my schedule from May if you want to get an idea of what may be offerred:

Thank you so much, jjohnson, for posting your schedual from May. We are going in Dec and our DD's wanted to know what was being offered. You gave us a little more magic into our trip planning. Thanks

We also really enjoyed the carriage ride. I scheduled it for 8:30 so we had a sunset ride.

How did you schedule the carriage ride? Is it through the resort or do you have to call wdw-play like the one at the WL? I'd like to do this with my children when we're there for our first stay at SSR in December. Thanks!

Where did the carriage ride take you exactly? I'm thinking of doing this on our first evening as kind of an introduction to the resort since this will be our first visit to our new home.

I can't tell you exactly because I'm a talker :chat: & was chatting with my family the entire time LOL

Charlie (the horse) walks right up on the sidewalks. You start by the boat launch & go past the tennis courts then up a hill. After that I know we went thru Congress Park then around to Paddocks from there we crossed the bridge & cut though Springs.

The ride is 30 minutes long.

Is the horse and carriage ride $35 for everyone or apiece? $35 for the 6 of us would be a fun adventure, but $35 times 6 would be too much.
