What are the chances if I book a standard 1BR at SSR that it will be remodeled? Thanks!

If you were checking in today, high but not 100% (I believe all but 2-3 of the 11 Standard buildings have either been refurbished or are offline). If you are checking in a few months from now, even higher.

FWIW, I was in an "old" 1BR in Paddock right before the pandemic shutdown, and it was perfectly fine. Unless you really need the extra sleeping space, I don't think it is a make-or-break deal.

Paddock done, Grandstand had 2 done 1 being refurbished and one not done, Carousel 2 buildings not done. Reported on DVC fan.

Is DVC a different building at SSR? Meaning, if I booked a DVC room no matter Standard or Preferred- is it guaranteed refurb?

All the buildings at SSR are DVC. From what others have stated, there are only 3 buildings left to be refurbished. One will be finished soon and they will take another out of service. All are scheduled to be done by summer, per Disney.
