How's Tim doing?

Thanks to everyone for thinking of us during this time...This morning was a little easier for us...We told Lauren(Tim's DD) about her nana Sunday, as we knew she wasnt going to pull through. She took it very hard, its like losing her mother, she spent more time with Gram than she did anyone else. She cried herself to sleep Sunday night, last night was a much better night for her. As far as Tim goes, hes blaming himself because she fell while taking Lauren to pre-k. He says had he not put all this pressure on her, she would still be here...I told him she went out for other reasons, to her meetings, to take the trash out, dr. visits, etc...what if she wouldnt have had her cell phone and then couldnt call for help. She'd be outside by herself without help for who knows how long...He hasnt said anything today about it, but I'm sure hes still thinking the same way. I just wish I could make him see its not anyones fault that everything happens for a reason, and shes in a better place now. It's been a rough 2 1/2 years for him, he lost his mom in 06, his dad's only sibling lost his wife 4 weeks ago, and now Gram...He's asking himself what hes being punished for. Its going to take some time and healing to come to terms I think. But I will be there every step of the way.

It's hard not to try and find blame somewhere, that's natural; but remind him that his grandmother was doing things she loved and doing things for Lauren is probably what kept her as a young 85 yo. to you both and tell Tim we're thinking about him

Tina - I'm so sorry to hear about your's and Tim's loss. You have my sympathy.

I agree with Gail. Gram doing those things that she loved are what kept her young.

Thoughts and prayers for Tim, his family and you Tina!

Steve

Tina I am so saddened by this news.

DITTO to Gail's comments. kids provide a purpose for grandparents.

I will say a prayer for you all tonight.

Julie, how did you fair through Ike? I hope the storms weren't too bad for you.

Certainly not as bad as TX by any means, but does anyone have an ark they can send our way? :boat: I haven't seen flooding like is in our neighborhood in a long time. The kids wanted to take the sailboat our neighbor gave them out on the streets. But, Walker wasn't strong enough to carry it around the corner. Gary & I are smart enough not to offer any help. Besides, it's raining out there :umbrella: :rotfl: :umbrella:

Michigan friends, it's most likely heading your way.

Tina,

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Tim.

We're good in this part of the state - heck we didn't even get as much rain as expected. Today it's sunny and we have nice temps as well so we are enjoying it.

Ok, I haven't been here in a WHILE!!! So, I'm on a power post!!!

The twins have arrived!!! My dd went into labor today and the dr said the twins wanted out of there so we now have a little boy, Jack Dillon - 5 lbs 13 oz, and Emily Thressa - 6 lbs 6 oz to keep Christopher on his toes. Will post pics when I get them tonite - taking Christopher up to see his new family at the hospital!
Congrats Grandma Mary!!! More grandbabies to love!!!
First and most importantly our deepest thanks for all the well wishes. Coleen, Dad and I really appreciate them. He is doing much better today. Breathing is improved. The Drs are deciding on treatment, for now no surgery is planned which is good news. Some radiation and some chemo. He is really pretty healthy otherwise so they are confident he will tolerate the treatment well.
Steve, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad!! Our thoughts and prayers are with him!!! I hope that he responds to treatment!!!
We are home from the East Bound Repo. WOW what an amazing cruise. Weather was great the entire trip. We had rain in Puerto Vallarta and the last part of the canal but that did not put any kinks in our plans. The rain was welcomed in PV as we had just climbed up the side of a mountain to ZIP down. I havenever been so nervous in my entire life. After the 2nd line - I finally calmed down.
Sounds like you had a great time Erin & Mary!! I wish that I could have gone on one of the repos. It just didn't fit into our school schedule!!!
Thank you for all the well wishes for Gram, I wish we had better news, but she had surgery on Friday afternoon, and never recovered. She threw a clot and stroked during the surgery. She passed earlier this evening. I'm still in shock...Its been a long weekend, as Gram was coming out of surgery Tim was going in to have a kidney stone removed. He's home doing well. I guess the hardest part of all of this is we should be planning the member cruise together, not her wake and funeral. That cruise is going to be so hard for us. I'm exhausted, so off to bed I go!
Oh Tina!! I'm so sorry for your loss!! What a shock, especially when she was just going in for surgery!!! My prayers are with you and Tim and your family!!!

I'm glad to hear that you're ok, Julie!!!

Julie...Glad to see and hear that you guys are ok.

We are doing as well as can be expected...I think Tim is coming to terms a little more. This vacation will be much needed for all of us. The last few weeks have just flown by with all that we had going. So hopefully the next day and a half does also!

Amy...I love the new pic of the girls!

Nice to see you again Amy!!
The girls look great in the new pic. Boy they are getting big!

Not much going on here. The weather is cooler here and leaves have already fallen (YUCK!). Nick is getting into the swing of things at school and tomorrow night we have our first Boy Scout meeting for the year.
Now the fun begins.

We are on "Parents of the Groom" duty today. Our son Greg is getting married today. The weather looks beautiful. I will post pics asap. Wish us luck!

Well Mom & Dad got home from their Adventures by Disney trip Friday night. They did the Viva Italia tour. They LOVED, LOVED, LOVED is. They had the most incredible time and said they would do am ABD trip again.
My sister is also came home for a visit this weekend so the whole family was over yesterday so that Mom & Dad could share their pictures, tell us about the trip, and give us some presents.
It was a nice relaxing day and we grilled and just hung out most of the day.
I'll have to share a pic or two from their trip.
