When: Sunday 29th May- Thursday 1st June 2011

Where: The Santa Fe

Cast: Me. Lover of Disneyland Paris, been many times :) My favourite ride is It's A Small World, hence my username. :lovestruc
Dd1- 5. Likes Tinkerbell, princesses and her favourite charater, Pluto. This is her 6th trip to DLRP. She loves autograph collecting.
Dd2- 3. Loves Playhouse Disney. Is petrified of any characters up close! 4th trip to DLRP
Sister. First time in DLRP. Not looking forward to the crowds and queue jumpers!
Dnephew1- 7. Likes Disney Cars. First trip abroad!
Dnephew2- 3. Likes Toystory. First trip abroad also!

How the trip came about: My sister has shown an interest in coming to DLRP for about a year now, but couldn't persuade her husband last year. This year, she went ahead and ordered passports for her sons, we priced up a trip for half term, and the rest, as they say, is history!

Day 1: We are catching the Eurostar from St Pancras. I've never taken the train before so I am fairly excited/apprehensive... Dh is working until 6am, then driving us to London to catch the train. We leave just before 9am and change at Lille- I really hope this is easy?! We plan on going straight to the Santa Fe and checking in, booking our breakfast slots (as early as possible) and dumping our luggage. Then it will be off to the park. We plan on just wandering around main street, visiting the castle and probably taking the train around all 4 areas, just to have a look. Bearing in mind it is the first visit for 3 members of our party there will be a lot to take in. Dinner that night is booked for 6.15pm at Cafe Mickey. I'm really hoping dd2 will go close to the characters this time so I can get some photos of her with the characters she loves watching on TV...

Day 2: We plan to do EMH, then Fantasyland, before heading for lunch at the Blue Lagoon (a first for all of us), then spending the afternoon in Adventureland. We plan on having a bar snack at the Santa Fe, or possibly even another hotel, before having an early night.

Day 3: Studios all day today! Can't wait to see dd2's face when we go to Playhouse Disney. She is so much more into it this year than during our last visit in July. I can't remember if they do the Hot Dog dance, but she knows it by heart! :lmao: We plan on having lunch at Blockbuster Cafe, and we have booked dinner at Chuck's Wagon for 6pm. It will be nice to visit the Cheyenne again, I loved staying here, it was just a bit too expensive this time. :sad1:

Day 4: We plan on doing EMH again and then spending the morning in Discoveryland. I can't believe in all my trips I have never found Buzz Lightyear's Lazer Blast :confused3 I am determined to find it this trip! We are hoping to try the Earl of Sandwich for lunch, but as it is its planned opening day, as far as I am aware (1st June) it may be far too busy, so we may have to settle for McDonalds. In the afternoon, it will be back to the parks for Frontierland, before our reservations at Inventions at 6pm (another first for all of us).

Day 5: We plan on doing EMH, then the studios before having lunch at Agrabah Cafe. I guess we will then do last minute rides/meets/photos etc before heading to the station at 3.45pm.

I'm really looking forward to the trip, although I'm a little anxious about going with 'newbies'. I feel that as I have bigged up DLRP so much in the past, I am responsible for everyone having a good time! I've never been at half term, but I'm expecting utter chaos...:scared1:

Oh, and a last point about the trip report title- my sister wanted to keep it a secret from her boys as she said they are too impatient and would hassle her every day if they knew they were going. I have never kept it a secret from the girls before, so it's been a challenge. I think the 3 year old has guessed or overheard though, she keeps starting sentences with, 'When we go to Disneyland Paris...':rotfl2: Whoops :rolleyes1

Sounds like you have a great trip planned! :goodvibes

How are you going to break the surprise? Will it be on the day you go???

I think you can count on your nephews to find the Buzz Ride for you - they won't miss it! :rotfl2:

Not long to go now.....

We will be there mon - fri of half term week too and are also travelling with newbies:goodvibes. It sounds like you are going to have a great trip.

Thanks Mumtobelle- I don't know how to break the news, any suggestions?

Jothp- I hope you have a lovely trip and that it's not too busy for us!

I just need to make an alteration- lunch on day 4, just realised I have already booked Walts!

Also, I forgot to mention, dd3, who is currently just a 19 week bump will be coming along for the ride ;) so I want to buy a baby's first Christmas tree decoration from the castle ship if it is open. Also want to buy dh and I new mugs as this is a bit of a tradition.

Awwwwwww, Congratulations!!!

I love Walts! :cloud9:

I'm telling my DD this week by giving her a box to open with a helium balloon inside (Mickey or Princesses) which will have an invitation attached to the bottom. (Just making that now!!) I'm also going to make some pretend tickets to go in the box along with the brochure and a Rapunzel doll if it arrives in time...! :goodvibes

I think the Disney website has quite a few ideas on it at the moment, could be worth a look! :surfweb:
