ss card for kids that are flying?

we will be going to disney next aug and this will be our kids first time flying. Do we need to bring their ss cards with us for US Air???

We have brought their birth certificates but we have never been asked for anything in 5 years.

They only ask for mine and my wife's ID.
 
Not anytime have I flown have I been asked to show ID for my daughter whos 4.
Actually scares me a little, that it was so easy.
 
Agree with the other posters. Our last flight on USAir was this past May and were not asked for anything for our 5yo or 4yo.
 

No, you don't need the SS cards. If you want, you could have a copy of the birth certificates, but you will not be asked for them.
 
Continental does not check minors' ID, either, but they do check the ID for anyone over the age of 18. I bring my passport, because it has a better picture than the one on my driver's license (:scared1: ).
