SR 429/Western Way update?

Does anyone know if it is open yet? I know that you can take 429 to 192 then east to World Dr. is one option. But is Disneys Western way open yet, or planning on being soon? One other question if anyone knows is going 429 to 192...how much faster is that than taking the turnpike to I-4 to WDW? Thanks in advance, ScottNBecky

I am not sure if the new entrance is open yet, but in any case I find that taking US 27 from the Turnpike to 192 is quicker and cheaper than taking the Turnpike all the way to I-4, especially if you use the "secret" WDW entrance near the Animal Kingdom (Black Lake Road and/or Sherberth Road) instead of taking World Drive.

If it is open (or once it does open), it may be even quicker than the US 27 route... time will tell.

thanks, where is the black lake road before World Dr? Does it run by the WDW Day care center or something? I ask b/c one time I think I exited out that way on accident, but not sure really where it is.

Disney's Western Way should open on April 4th. But in any case it is still quicker to take 429 even if Western Way is not open.

Yes. Black Lake/Sherberth is the route that takes you near one of the WDW child care centers.

can I ask how much time it saves taking turnpike to 429 to 192 vs. turnpike to I-4 to wdw? Just curious. thanks, scott
