they actually are really fun, get to talk and network with people in only see for a few times a year, and we had a few good sessions...i even talked and was a speaker this year.

also the first night is free drinks.

Morning everyone! Loving the wedding stories over here!

I remember not eating squat at my reception too; way too many people to see and thank! Luckily, my mom and her DBFriend has placed a really nice gift basket at the cabin we were staying at with lots of munchies. I also remember that some racoons came in from the sliding glass door and begged for some of those munchies. THey were very cute!

That basket was a good idea! Oh, you had racoon visitors - that's something you won't forget!

Dan- I can't tell you how relieved I am!! Thanks for keeping your hanky in your pocket!!!

Tammie- It was super nice of my mom and her friend! If I recall there was cheese, crackers, sausage, wine of course, fruit and choco!! I was really grateful, and so thoughtful of them! Racoons are cute and even cuter when begging!

we had a really nice weekend, did a little house hunting and found a few layouts we like now going to try and narrow it down and find the land next.

Oh my goodness!! That is so exciting!! We've built two homes over the years, never a custom home though. This is such great news!
I myself am at the place where I'm either about to move or there needs to be a major over haul and some updating to our house. I said this to my DH the other day and I think his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

It's weird for us to be in one place past a few years, DH was an officer in the military so we moved a bit. The last place we were in we lived there for five years, the longest we had lived any where at the time.
Since then we've moved to Austin area and we've been in this house almost 10 years. For the first time I'm starting to experience what it's like when things start really needing to be replaced in and outside our home.
I don't mind, I'm just not use to it. And it's enough little things it's starting to over-whelm me... So an over haul is a comin!

When I listed off all the things that I felt needed replacing or changing, DH said all those things can be done. I looked at him like he was from another planet, he usually fights me on any big changes or big things I feel we need to do.....well big to him I should say. In other words if the idea isn't his then it's a big change.
I'm happy he's good with it. Well....he might not be good with it, but I'm sure it's a sight better than the idea of moving!

I can't wait to hear how it all comes together, keep us posted and if you have any questions just ask away.
What ever you do....pick the most reputable builder, talk to people who've built with them and make sure there is a license for everything being done.
You probably know all this already, it's the mom in me. I can't help it. Sorry.

thats alot of moving, not sure if i would like that or not. candi has already cried about moving we love our house, just not going to suit us when we start trying for another kid, we dont have an additional play room right now, using the 3rd bedroom for parkers playroom. so we are just trying ot get the ball rolling before we have another and then fell rushed into picking something. thanks for the advice, i get it from my dad every day also.

thanks guys, we have narrowed it down to about 20 designs we like

we are hoping to get it down alot lower this weekend.

and hopefully we will hear back from the guy on his land soon.

and that it is affordable land he is willing to sell me please say your prayers for us.
