Chapter 47. Glennbo Saga, a celebration, and (what if sunsets)
We last left off with a text to glenn saying go to the country bear jamboree and to stay there or else.
so we make it around the corner past liberty tree tavern, and i am wondering if i will find glenn at the jamboree or not, well pretty soon i spot him off in the distance waiting with his family in the shade of the entrance.
now i think i have found the point of origin for the glenn shrine, notice in this picture that "glenn" took of candi, she is trying to show him a little leg...and he was hooked.
after we chatted for a few, i had them all stand together and get a picture with parker.
after checking it out i noticed that i had cut off there heads, so i told them to take another, which they helped by stooping down a little, also notice how parker is eyeing james drink and wandering where his water is.
shortly after my parents showed up to meet us for the bears, and they said hello to glenn and his family, we all parted ways, after finally tracking him down that morning.
my mom had been bitten by something the day before and her hand was still a little swollen so she got an ice pack for it, and parker was concerned for her.
the bear show was good as always, we always like stomping along with them.
after the show, my parents took parker to get lunch as candi and i were not that hungry, so we instead headed over to go on haunted mansion while they ate with parker at the colonial house i believe.
and i think this is the first time i have actually really paid attention to the carriage outside the ride.
the line was long but it was constantly moving so that was good...and in reading my behind the magic book on disney, i remembered that the lady tomb stone opens her eyes sometimes.
looks like i didnt get that this time,
nope i held the camera up and ready for it, and once she opened them i snapped the picture.
when we got off, i looked for the ring in the walkway but did not find it, but i did remember how the mr toad statue was in the outside graveyard, i was looking for it on the ride in the outside graveyard scene there, but didnt find it, then thought you know what, i bet it is outside outside...and sure enough it was way in the back on the hill.
now came our chance to share some of the disney magic and help some others have a memorable day....
when we were leaving the ride area, there was a family with two little girls maybe 4 and 3 age range...well they were crying very hard because they didnt want to take the ghosts home with them they wanted them to stay there....well, candi and i quickly talked and decided to help the parents out who couldnt stop them from crying.
so we said that we had something that was magical that would keep the ghosts away.
we pulled out the extra pins that we had that we were using to trade away and candi told them that they were magic pins that we had that would keep ghosts away from you and they could pick out one if they wanted.
well they quickly both picked out a pin each that had a princess on them, and there mom pinned them on there shirts...the parents thanked us and we went on our way.
needless to say it stopped them from crying and we left happy to help out, heck it might have turned there whole day around and let them enjoy the rest of it instead of having to deal with a melt down.
we found parker and my parents and headed out for our next adventure of the day.

its time for a celebration.
candi had her big 30 celebration, which shows that i not only married UP, but also married OLDER.
does that make her a cougar?
anyway, we headed up to michigan for a long weekend get away, thursday through sunday...
we had about 35 people camping with us either in campers or in cabins, and had about 10 more come up for the day on saturday to hang out.
we woke on her birthday with her opening her presents, which we got her a few disney plagues to add to her collection and also a nice diamond bracelet. she is struggling to get the tag off without breaking it.
we spent the weekend relaxing, going by the lake and watching the boats, before a nice dinner.
going to the beach which if you didnt know it the sand was as nice as the hawaiian sand we were in a month earlier.
went blueberry picking, which someone had to tie the bucket above her waste since it was a little bigger than normal.
parker did a great job picking he wouldnt let anyone help him and he had almost a full pound himself, with only a few none blue berries in his bucket.
the campground has many activities all weekend and this was the one parker was the most excited for.
the train rides.
all of the kids even did a rocket balloon launch for candis birthday...
parker picked out a nice birthday hat for momma to wear and this is one of the best ones i have of it.
she also had a princess tiara that she wore for most of the night as well.
everyone loved the food, i had the 2 BIL's help out cooking, we had 4 grills going with burgers, dogs, and the beer brats simmering on the stove there, then grilled off to perfection.
which i should of cooked more than 30 off, as i had about 10 people come up and want seconds of those but ran out...everyone that had them said they were the best they have ever had, even people who have never liked brats in the past said they would eat those again.

so what would a sunset look like if disney had a ocean front facing view?
well glad you asked lets take a look shall we.
i had this picture set up of candi and me on purpose because i thought it would look cool with our silloute in the sunset...and it turned out great because no one knew that her sister had parker behind us watching the water....
a paddle boarder getting a few more waves in before sunset.
and a panaramic of the sunset with another island in the distance.
and of course the sunset cruise ship has to sail right in front of the sun when it is kissing the water goodnight.
after the sun set it was still pretty bright out and the surfers were still enjoying the light for a little longer.
parker is going to be such the gentlman with the ladies when he grows up,
hope everyone enjoyed the mix match of things in this update.
i might have gotten help with that further down the road.
