I had a girl's name picked out since HS, and no I never dated anyone with either name. But I told every girl I ever dated for an extended time that if we ever got married and had children they could have input on a boy's name, but the girl was already named and they had not say-so in it.

Her name would have been Alicia Christine!

I did have some input into my GDD's name - Londynn Eve - and DDIL (her mom) is Lindsay Dawn.

that is a cute name, it is a cousins name in our family, so we wouldnt use it to keep it original.

So i was planning on getting an update in today, but doesnt look like it will happen...I am trying to finish up a few t hings and make sure other stuff is taken care of as well.

which brings me to a few questions that you guys can chime in on while i am in my absence.

1. When do you pack for vacation?

Me- we leave tomorrow, and i put some clothes in the suitcase at lunch time today, but didnt finish anything yet.

2. What about getting your electronic media together?

Me- I have the cameras (yes plural laid out) but did not clean off memory sticks yet, or make sure that the video camera has all tapes recorded and set at the start of the tapes.

3. How about getting things lined up with neighbors..

Me- this i actually did do last week, have the one set for the mail, another set for the watering of my veggie garden so i come home to some nice 3 lb tomatoes. Have the lawn mower for the vacation set up (ie dad)

4. How about plans for when you are on vacation (not a disney vacation)

Me- this trip, i only have 2 things set up right now, and one doesnt even have a date assigned to it...the rest will be to fly by the seat of my pants while there and plan stuff on a day to day basis.

5. is it okay to not take as many pairs of underoos as days you will be gone, because some days you plan on never getting out of your bathing suit.

My family usually starts packing around a week before. We dont put anything in the suitcase (with a few exceptions) until the day before or the day that we leave depending on what time we leave. We pick our clothes out around 5 days before just in case something needs to be washed, etc. We also put half of the amount of clothes in each suitcase for each person ( for example- if we are going away for 8 days and we are using 2 suitcases, 4 outfits would go in one suitcase and 4 in the other suitcase). We do this just in case the airport loses one of our suitcases, we know we have clothes to wear.

I start packing about 7-10 days before, do a little each day

I get the mail set up a few weeks before and then remind them like two days before, as I am paranoid like that

Lawn can wait (nothing wrong with a jungle)

It is better to have more underoos, then not enough, so I always pack more than I actually need

Congrats on the camera! I got the Olympus Pen e-pl2 which is a competitor to what you got. one of my favorite things is the penpal...which lets me send pictures straight from the camera to my phone (FB/Photobucket). It has a lot of fancy options too but I've not played with them all. I definitely need to work on my indoor low light settings still as I've just not been indoors all that much while using it but have gotten some cool night/sunset shots. Overall I am REALLY happy with it

Usually my inlaws take care of the house for us but theyr'e coming with this time

We don't plan too much for no Disney vacations. We have a list of stuff we want to do. The only time we really planned ahead of time was when we had to get tickets for the Statue of Liberty.
