Im so sorry for your loss Dan...

I know how it feels to lose a loved one...my mom just passed away on January 29th at 64 - her's was similar to your grandfathers situation -she was in a place to get better, but her lungs started to fail and she was also placed on life support - but life support only works if the body is willing...



the last 2 months have shown to me how important family is and there are reasons that people come into your life after a loved one dies - like your grandmother moving back closer to you. We now have my father living with us and its nice to have him around 24/7 and see him spend time with my boys....

Sorry to hear about your loss! My Mom passed away last July, so I know exactly what you are going through!

I'm mostly a lurker so I'm sure you don't know me but I wanted to take a second from behind the curtain here to give you my condolences on the loss of your grandfather.

I recently lost my last grandparent and it is both sad and strange at the same time.

There is certainly peace to be found in their memory, though it takes a while to get there.

Yes. They warn you with babies not to feed them too much carrots and sweet potatoes because the carotene in them could change their skin color in excess. But I think it would take a lot, over a long period of time.

now that you mention it, i remember that we had to make sure to feed him a wide variety of food when younger because of the doctor telling us that.

not sure how much it would take either.

thanks for the kind words...and sorry for your recent loss as well.

thankfully we still have the grandmas on both sides left...it is something you dont want to think about, but you have to deal with at some point.


we were hesitant to get on our webcam with our grandma, because we dont want parker to ask where he is and get her upset...

he calls him papa choo choo because of his love of trains...and we just not sure if it would be good to get on the webcame right now.

side note, on or honeymoon while waiting in the airport for our flight, we saw don king on the little people mover walk things waving a hand size american flag, with a guy carrying his luggage. running behind him.
