Chapter 30. Tension at the Luau.
After getting back to the trailer, we realized that we probably would not have time to take a shower so we just washed up and got dressed, and we were right, it was about 45 minutes till our dinner time. We had planned on hopping on a boat to the MK then taking a boat over to the Polynesian for dinner, but we thought that might be cutting it pretty close.
my dad offered to take us instead, and get there in half hte time.
candis sister got these outfits for us, in hawaii and sent them as a gift.
it actually worked out good this way as parker was still taking a nap from his adventures during the day, so nana stayed back with him.
when we got to the check in counter for luau, the girl the registered us was from a town about 30 minutes from us, so we chatted with her some.
we went outside to make our way via the signs to our destination, they took us past the pool, which was the first time we had ever seen the pool.
we really liked the view it had of the MK and said it would be fun to swim in there and check out the fireworks at night.
we then found the entrance trail to the luau.
once they checked us in, we were stopped to take the photo before you go to the waiting area.
the waiting area was nice, it was themed good, but there was not many seats, and with all the foliage around, it was not very breeze friendly on a very hot day. there was a beer cart selling drinks but you had to pay for them, and since drinks were included with our show, we waited the 20 minutes till show time before we had our beverage.
down a few steps from this area was a bathroom and a little desk where they had some ice water and where people were trying to change seats or add reservations or what not.
pretty soon we made our way to were the line was forming for seating...and we were a little nervous as to where our seats would be, on the dinning plan we had teir 2 seats, which could be on the sides on the lower area, to the back middle around the stage, so we just had to wait.
we gave our ticket to the hostest and were ushered in to our seats..to our surprise we had very good ones.
this was taken from candis seat.
a view from my seat.
so with our nervs calmed it was time to relax and enjoy our evening, we had great seats, great company and great food ahead of us and of course a show.
this is a shot of the first course, it had good bread, fresh pineapple, and some really good salad.
while we were starting our meal at the luau nana and papa were taking parker to the wave restraunt for there dinner. parker got a new toy story drawing pad to play with.
from the pictures i gather the little man got his own ice cream treat.
but i think he was more intersted in nanas than his.
meanwhile back at the luau, it seems that the tension of not knowing where our seats would be, turned out okay for us, but someone close to us, had tension of there own.
to be continued in the next update, to many pictures for this chapter.
working on it rightnow.
