Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

Wow, that lodge looks awesome. I'd love to try that toboggan run.

That poor competitive guy that you left a nearly-impossible score for. :rotfl2:

When James finds out about Disney Quest we'll have to go there, but until then I'm keeping quiet.

Can't wait to read about the luau and your other experiences that night.

what? no lightsaber battles at DQ? no space tank missions? no virtual pirate ship adventures? no magic carpet rides? Sounds like you might have missed all the fun stuff at DQ. :confused3

Hey Faunt

a little OT

but wanted to let you know Carla had her baby born a few hrs ago.

He is just precious.

I hope you, Candi and Parker have a wonderful Christmas

:santa:

The lodge looked beautiful - I would have to stay by the fire though - I don't volunteer to go out traipsing around the snow - no matter how pretty the trees look.

I haven;t been to Disney Quest for a few years. The only ride/game/attraction I really enjoyed there was the Pirates....oh and Cyber Space Mountain. The Astro blaster was a flop....I couldn't figure out how to row the rafts in the virtual rafting thing....and whatever else was there at the time we also didn't do very well at. Of course, the last time I went the boys were all a lot younger so I was trying to keep track of them while I was playing. :rolleyes1 I know Mark liked one game they had that was like a remote control truck that was in the floor :confused3 and you had to drive it around through mazes and stuff - I think it went into a couple different rooms. Or maybe I'm making that up - I think I remember it, but who know :confused3

The boys have gone back there on recent trips and they seem to enjoy it. I don't know if they would go if they had to pay for it though, they don't seem to stay very long.

That lodge looked so pretty. Must have been so nice sitting in front of the fireplace :goodvibes

Have not done Disney Quest since my honeymoon....

I like skee ball, but we are not game people, so doubt we ever will

Looks like we did not miss much

Good job on high score :thumbsup2

That picture of you and Candi on the deck.... someone perfectly caught the snowflakes so that it looks like you have 2 icicles hanging off your eyebrows. :lmao: That takes some skill!!

WOW!! It looked like amazing fun! So pretty!

Quest looked crazy fun! Parker looks like he's in video heaven! :thumbsup2

We went to DQ for the first time last Aug. My dh and boys loved it. I can go with out. We have tickets for it next trip and I'm only gor for a few hrs. My family well be there all day if I let them.

That inn looks fabulous! My DH and I used to go to B&B in Northern Michigan in the winter. It was great because there was no one ever there.

The games looked like fun. I keep saying this every time, I hope that I can spend more time slowing down on the next trip.

The snow was just beautiful! 8 hours a day in front of a fire reading a book? Sounds like heaven!

Love the high-score story from Disney Quest... my favorite picture is the one of the mom trying to get her boys away from you! :rotfl:

I can't believe how big Parker is! And he is such a handsome young man! I felt bad for Candi having to lug that dead, sleeping weight around the buses... I've been there before! Those kids can get heavy!!

Have a wonderful Christmas!

Great update, especially how you can go from being all bundled up in the snow to running around in shorts. That is one awesome resort you went to!!! :rotfl2:

Now I've got to go to DQ just to play the basketball game and smoke your high score.:rolleyes1 Never played one with multiple levels before but that sounds like fun!
Wow, that lodge looks awesome. I'd love to try that toboggan run.
Totally agree! That looks like a whole lot of fun. I imagine I would get worn out that day making that run over and over. And the snow is amazing! How great to have the resort pretty much all to yourself, but if you and Candi truly spent all of your time reading in front of that fireplace, we need to have a LOOOOONNNNGGGG talk my friend!!! ;)

Congrats on the new baby!!! Hope Carla and the baby are doing well! What a wonderful Christmas present!!!

Dan, hope you, Candi, Parker and the rest of your family have a Very Merry Christmas!!!

It looked like a winter wonderland! Very pretty!

I feel the same way about Disney Quest, wouldn't pay OOP for it but if we have room left on our tickets for it, well then maybe we will try it out.

thanks we love going there, it is very relaxing especially during the week when no one goes.

i think it might be fun to try more of the games, but our time was limited, and i didnt really try muc hof the simulated type games, really only the astroblaster, and the hockey game.

some of the other ones were shut down.

Ugh. Disney Quest. I tried it once because I had the fun option on my ticket one year. Never again. I wasn't impressed. I also tried the astroblaster and had the same problems you did!
even growing up i was never that much into video games, i would maybe go back if i had the extra fun days on my ticket to use up, but i think i would rather spend them on the water parks instead.

yeah it seemed like alot of people had problems on the astroblaster when we were in there.

Love the photos of you and Candi reading by the fire. The lodge looks beautiful.

Parker is such a hoot...I love him in the race car; he just looks so intent. We've not done Disney Quest since it first opened and they didn't have 1/4 of what they have now (but that was like 10-12 years ago).

A sleeping child...such a blessing and so cute.

it was very comfy to relax by the fire.

he was very intent, he just kept driving it i dont even think it was acutally on race mode, i think it was demo mode, when he was in there.

it is very cute when he falls asleep like that i love it.

i map quested it and that inn is 565 miles from your house, feel free to drop by anytime:thumbsup2

i love running the score up on those.

i think you would have to leave him in there all day, he would love it.

the adventure getting to you guys was pretty funny, i dont remember if i told you what happened on the monorail or not that night, but it was good.

yeah i know we missed alot of those, :headache: and actually a few of them were shut down and not running when we were there.

we might try it again when parker is a little bigger.

we did plan on going on a few hikes the second day but opted to stay in the warm fire area the whole day.

yeah now that i read some of the other peoples adventures there, i think that we missed some stuff, but not sure how we would have liked those.

i love me some skee ball, but pop a shot is my game i usually play that most of the time when i am at places.

parker likes to play the football pass game with me at chucky cheese so we do that one alot as well.

funny story about that, the kid that took the picture was maybe 12, and he was taking a picture of his family coming down the run, i asked if he minded taking ours, and he just looked at me, like um, do you have your own camera, i said you can use ours of course...but he did do a good job.

he did have a good time running around playing the games.

We went to DQ for the first time last Aug. My dh and boys loved it. I can go with out. We have tickets for it next trip and I'm only gor for a few hrs. My family well be there all day if I let them.
hope you enjoy it for the small time you go in there, and just think why your family is in there, you can go outside and sit in the quite and maybe take a balloon ride.

we want to do a inn in michigan sometime, but not sure where,

yeah we were also rushed there as we had evening plans, so our experience might have been different if we had more time.

that is a funny one, im glad my dad caught it.

he is getting very big, and yep they do get heavy when they fall asleep i offered to take him, but she loves holding him when he falls asleep so she didnt want to give him up.

have a great christmas as well.

i know disney sure has some great theming in there resorts, even taking it outside to the elements now huh.
:thumbsup2

bring it on old man, you would get tired throwing balls at the hoop for 1 minute.:lmao:

actually our chucky cheese also has that same 4 stage game, and of course i smoked the high score there as well, i will take a picture for you next time i take parker there....the kids that watch me there also get mad when i get the high score on the football touchdown game as well.

or when i wait till the jackpot is high on the zig zag crank game and i get the bonus for getting it to the top..of course parker loves it since he benefits with all the tickets.

Nice, that's the way to show those kiddos who's boss!!! :rotfl2: I've been known to set some records like that myself. I'm usually slowed only by the fact I'm making baskets so fast the machine can't get me the balls back quick enough........ ;)

thank you we have a good long weekend coming up and it is filled with family and loved ones.

hope you enjoy your first christmas back in the states.

thats right, gotta put em in there place early and let em know they cant always win.

i know what you mean, but here is a little hint or secret shall you...if there are two machines next to each other, find hte one with the most balls in it, then if you play the other machine, take some of those balls out and up the amount in your game.:thumbsup2 or course when you are done playing put the balls back into the other game to even them out, but it helps to keep the flow going so that you dont have to wait.

Uh Huh.......... :rolleyes1
what you dont believe me.;)

I'll think about you while I'm in that warm  Florida sunshine!!! :)
im sure you will think of me anytime a bus comes across someone walking in front of it and think of me in my skivvies.

Awesome Update Dan !!!Love the snowy pix !!!
