Chapter 14. Tinked off...
The long awaited and overdue MK day, (my apoligizes, was pretty busy last week) The day started out good, we get up eat breakfast, and head to the boat dock. It was time for MK.
However we learned that the MK boat didnt start till 30 minutes before park opening, which meant by the time you got there it would be like 10 minutes before opening and it would be a mad house, so what were we to do, well head out on the resort boat...see the boat captain waiting for his travelers for the day.
parker enjoyed the rest of his cereal on the boat.
we got to the park with a good 40 minutes or so to spare...so we took the time just taking it in and letting parker finish his breakfast before it was time to fight the crowds and enter.
i like how the streamers look in the tree when they get shot out.
as we enter the park, we split off from papa and he gets FP's for buzz to use later in the day, and the rest of us pass the bubble shooting trash can and enter the castle to make our way to dumbo for parkers first MK ride of the trip...
he loved it of course because it goes up and down and around in circles we all road together and had nana ride in front to take pictures of us...
after it was time to hit peter pan with its line at already 15 minutes of a wait. where candi found a hidden mickey and we documented for our 2010 finding mission.
next we knew that we wanted to see the faires since we missed it last trip and the line gets so long, well it was about quarter till 10 and my mom says they dont open toon town till 10 we can do something else...not being wise to the DIS i told her ahhh but they open it at 9:45 lets head over and get in line, she was not aggreing with me but gave in nun the less.
low and behold we get to toon town and it is open earlier than the 10 open time that is posted, she is made she is wrong and i am smiling because i knew i was right.
so we get in line for the faires which is posted at 30 minutes but takes less than 20 to get to the shrinking room.
the fairy dust tree.
parker loves these moves so we were excited to see the characters and see how he did with them.
we we get led into the room with them and it is nice and bright alot going on...
and they had us wait across the room until fawn (i thinkthat was who it was) was done with the little girl in front of us, well fawn came running over to parker all excited and pretty loud well this freaked him out...
she had a good attitude if the kid she was coming to wasnt hesitant about going to her...so she asked if he could come visit with her and he said "no, no, no, no"
so she started doing the no no dance, dancing around to try and get him to laugh which only scared him more.
you can see how excited he was to have his picture taken with her.
not even standing worked, he kept saying "no that way mama" trying to get away from her.
i love her face in that one...like she wasnt sure what to do about it anymore.
tink was long done with the people in front of us, so she came over and sat with him to sign his book and try and help...dada stepped in and took over parker...i got him to calm down a little with tinks help...
tink had us follow her over to her area and he did a little better with a picture with her, but didnt want dada to let him down or go to anyone else....so he was my little man the rest of the way.
nana and papa thought it was cool and wanted there picture with tink.
as we were going over to terrance i had an idea, that just clicked, like duh you dummy why didnt you think of that 5 minutes ago...i said candi give me the bag,and reached in and pulled out the glow sticks, ( a yellow one) and said hey parker, you know how faires use there pixie dust to fly, well do you want to show terrance that you have pixie dust or your own...
and he goes yeah all excited...so i hand parker the yellow glow stick and he shows it to terrance.
terrance did great with it, he gently took it from parker, knowing he might be a little aprehensive from his previous encounter with the fairies and looked and talked about the pixie dust like it was the best treasure in the land and so cool, it was a great interaction.
parker really enjoyed it and did great for the time with him, (if only i had thought of it a few minutes before with the others

or before we saw them it might have been different with them)
so it was a good start to our morning we road the kiddie rides we wanted with parker, and saw the fairies for the first time, allthough it was not exactly what we thought it would be....but hey you gotta roll with it sometimes and just take the bad with the good.
more MK day coming up next.
