Okay so I need some of your WONDERFUL opinions. Seriously, I love you guys, you've helped our Disney Trips become beautiful memories (at the parks and the ships). So thank you! :lovestruc

I do hope I am putting this in the right area ...

DH and I are planning a trip this october and have tickets for MNSSHP on the 28th. That day we also have breakfast (8:25am) at 'Ohanas.
We are trying to figure out if we could squeeze in Wizarding World after 'Ohanas and before MNSSHP or if we should have a complete seperate day for Wizarding World?

If we opted for the extra day, we would need to add a day (that won't include free dining) and buy meals OOP for that extra day as well as OOP for Wizarding World. Plus a night at a resort (still will be Disney though).

We plan on dressing up for MNSSHP, we've also never been and are not sure about if we NEED to show up at 4pm or if 7pm would be just fine? We do plan on attending at least one of the parades, join stitch's dance party, do trick or treating and watch the villian show (yes, we have no kids :p).

So, in your expert opinion, what do you think would serve us best?

We HAVE been to Wizarding World before. We will only go to Islands of Adventure.

Thank you! :flower3:

I think that's a lot to pack into one day. Most folks will recommend you take it easy on your MNSSHP day (sleep in, hand at the pool, go to DTD) so you can thoroughlyenjoy the party and stay till the end. I'd bump your Universal stuff to a different day.

I would say make Wizarding World a seperate day.

Breakfast will probably be done by 9:30 or so. Then getting over to Universial about 10:30ish. 5 hours would get you to 3:30 which would get you headed back to property before the I4 rush and would put you rushing to get dressed for the party and to MK by 6.

You already paid $100+ to get into the party. If you go in exhausted then it won't be that enjoyable. Yes there will be additional costs if you punt WWoHP to another day, but if you are spending the money you should at least enjoy the parks IMO.

Definitely do WWoHP on a separate day and prepare to get the just before the park opens. It's a tightly packed area and once crowds begin to build by 10:30 or so, it gets uncomfortable to move around. Get there early do all the Harry Potter stuff, then move on to other parts of IOA. If you're schedule can bear it, make sure you check out WWoHP at night too, it's really magical all lit up at night.

As for your party day, if it were me, I'd make the 'Ohana breakfast a little later so you can sleep in a bit so you're not dragging that night.

I agree with everyone here. Sleep in, have a late breakfast, relax by the pool, and you will have the energy to thoroughly enjoy everything that the party has to offer. Do WWOHP a different day. You need to get there early anyway, because that part of the park gets jam packed.

I definitely agree Wizarding World should have its own day. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or not, but why would you have no free dining if you add a day? I actually just added a day to our trip a few weeks ago (scheduling changes) and it automatically added an extra day of FD.

If you add the day and get the extra CS & TS, why not eat a CS breakfast in your resort, share a meal at the Three Broomsticks and have a resort TS? :)

I agree with everyone else. Transportation to and from Universal will eat up a lot of time, and you will be trying to hit Harry Potter during the busiest time of the day there.

Much better to do Harry Potter first thing in the morning and/or the last hour before park closing.

Thank you all! As per your advice, I have talked to DH about an extra day. He's going to check tomorrow about having an extra day off of work for that week. Fingers Crossed!

Another suggestion would be to cancel O'Hanas, get to Wizarding World at rope drop, spend the morning there, have lunch at Broomsticks, then head home to nap until the party....

Cancelling 'Ohanas for my husband would like telling him that Stitch isn't real ....

A key ingredient for us having an enjoyable day at Disney is a leisurely pace, even if it means skipping a few things.

We've been to Disney before and I know :) More times than not, I have things planned and then when it actually comes, we don't feel like doing it anymore so we don't.

I have lots planned, but I really don't expect every single thing to be done.
