Square Trade Warranty?

Has anyone used them for a warranty on a Kindle? Is it really as good as it sounds? I just bought a Kindle yesterday with my birthday gift cards, and want to be sure it is covered against accidental cracking, spills, etc. It looks like the manufacturer's warranty doesn't cover that, but Square Trade's warranty will. I called them and asked what I would pay out of pocket if I need to make a claim (postage, handling, etc.), and they said that they don't charge anything for postage, but send a prepaid label, and if it can't be fixed, they will refund my purchase price if I can send them the original receipt. Am I missing something? It sounds great, and is a reasonable price; I just don't want to find out that they don't come through if something happens and it gets dropped or something.

I bought a Square Trade Warranty for my Kindle. I got the 3 year one for $25 after I bought a 50% off code on ebay!! Guess what??? They sent me a 50% code after my purchase, and you can have it if you want it. I can't seem to pm you, and I didn't want to post it in public. Let me know if you want it.
I haven't read a bad thing about Square Trade so I thought it was the way to go.

I got an accidental damage warranty through there for my nook. I got a 3 year for maybe $27. I used a 30% off code I found online.

You might also talk to your home owners insurance company about adding it on your policy. I recently got an iPhone and SQTrade offered $149 for 2 yrs, and a $50 deductible. I do NOT think that Square Trade covers loss or theft.

Our homeowners insurance offered me $40 per year with $0 deductible and that included theft, and loss in addition to breaking. I do not think it would cover mechanical failure, but even adding in AppleCare it would still be less money for better coverage.

I haven't done a Nook or Kindle warranty, but I have been reimbursed the purchase price of 2 laptops in the last year. My son has a horrible record with electronics. Both screens were broken. As soon as the accidents happened, I went online and filed a claim. They required a copy of the receipt(which you can add when you purchase the warranty) to be emailed to them, and then they processed the claim. Then I had to ship the laptop to them(prepaid shipping label from ST). Once they got it and confirmed the damage, they reimbursed me through Paypal. Start to finish, the whole thing took about 10 days. Their website states that repairs are turned around within a week.

I have all my electronics warrantied through them and I always find a code.

I bought one for my Kindle back in the days the Kindle cost almost $400. Prices have come down so much now that I don't bother.

Plus I can mention that Amazon is famous for replacing Kindles under warranty for almost any reason. My son put his hand on a table to push himself up getting out of a chair and realized too late that his girlfriend's kindle was under his hand. He cracked that screen into oblivion and Amazon sent a replacement out for free.

I use square trade for our laptop warranties though.
