Hi friends!!!

I live in Toronto and had to make a trip to the new Disney Store that opened in Square One in Mississauga!

I took lots of pictures to share with everyone here. It was very crowded, but looked very cute. I wish they would renovate a store that had more space though.

Enchanted trees. I took a lot of pictures of these, trying to capture the different projections.

My flash wasn't working, but you can still see the whole of the Princess castle

Disney Playhouse corner I think? You can turn the gears on the shelves

The little interactive children's corner.

There was only one little table in there, with buckets of crayons and colouring pages.

Touch screens to help you find that perfect Disney gift.

If you're looking for Vinylmation, you're not going to find much here.

I thought this was pretty cool. Reminds me of those bears you can decorate.

This was VERY cute.

More pictures of the "castle". It was more of an overdecorated arch. You pass through it to get to the mirrors.

One thing I love was all these little quotes on top of the shelves.

They also had these on the side of the shelves.

The Hannah Montana movie was playing in the kids' corner.

I took a little movie to show the "trees" better and for you to get a feel for the store.

Overall impression? Lots of stuff for kids to do now. Even more kid oriented. I saw one shelf for adult clothing, three hooks with cute bags, and a tiny shelf with those new clip wallets. Nothing much for adults.

The new princess dresses are gorgeous and I loved the new Disney play sets.

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

We are no-where near a store now we live here. :sad2:

I wonder how they choose which stores to renovate. The Square One store is pretty small and with all this new stuff in it, it feels even more cramped.

It's great to see all this new interactive stuff in person though. And the new Mickey merch is great too!

Nothing to add except that I (and Moonie 2 and 3) are in the picture of people walking into the store from yesterday!

I agree with the PP that it is very crowded in there now, but I think it's revenue based. They renovate where the money is to see if the experience makes it more profitable from what I understand.

Very nice pics!! I just posted my report on my blog yesterday (http://believeinmagictravel.blogspot.com/) but my pics weren't as good from my blackberry. I agree that the store seemed cramped, especially on Saturday when it was busy. I'll give it another shot on a weekday morning when it hopefully won't be as crowded! It's the closest store to me, other than Limeridge Mall in Hamilton.

I brought my digicam specifically to take pictures to show the DIS!

I'd like to see more merch for adults, but I understand how that's not the priority of the Disney stores. I loved the animation on the trees!

Moonies: What a small world!

We dropped into that store yesterday. It's cute but the store isn't nearly big enough. It was way too crowded for me. ;)

Was there on Sunday. Great pics! Yes, same as you I'm disappointed that there is not more adult oriented merch, but I also understand that is not where the volumes are.

There was quite a line up at the cash register so it seems successful.

It was very well done, but overall with all the hype of the new store format I did expect a little bit more. If I had kids it would be a must-do.

It's definitely a great place for kids. Lots to touch and turn and play with. Encourages them to be interactive in the store.

We went today and it's about the same size as before. Loved the interaction stuff Ds will love the ride makers but I couldn't find a price on it. We went without the kids. Can't wait to go back with them

Thank-you for taking the photos and sharing. I guess I know what we will be doing now on Easter Monday with our girlies!

Thanks so much for the awesome pics! My kids are going to nuts for the Vinylmation-we allowed them to get one last year in the parks but I know they want more, they want to collect them-thanks again

No problem! Like the pictures show, you won't find much Vinylmation there. I think they only had 4 collections to choose from. The Villians Vinylmation look great though. Hope they have fun!

I had no idea Square One had a Disney store! I may work around the area but never have made the trip over there. It's not far actually so I'll have to check it out one of these days. Maybe I'll wait until it's less crowded since it just opened. But Yuki, there's not much different in form of stuff for adults right? I hate the Disney stores around here because they never have anything terriby exciting for people our age

Yeah, you live so close to it!

It's worth a look-see, but yeah, nothing much for us at all. Except for those cute lip glosses.

They had one puny little table for adult t-shirts. You can get the same shirts at Walmart for cheaper. I don't even remember seeing that many mugs or snow globes. The Disney Store in Scarborough had a LOT more stuff for adults.
