Chapter 8: "How many days 'til our next trip?"

Cast:
me, 38, disneyholic mom
Moose dh36, disneyholic dad
Fauna dd15, responsible sister
Flora 16, Fauna’s friend
Grumpy dd8, stubborn sister
Imp dd4, mischievous sister

Friday, July 8
Breakfast was leftovers, (eat as much as you can of the food still in the fridge.) We packed, checked and double checked the rooms and called bell services to store our bags.

Then we headed to Epcot. As we zip through World Showcase with Soarin' in our sights, the character bus pulls up in front of us. There's no getting out of it, we have to stop. Luckily there are only a few characters we haven't already seen. Out come the books, the pens, let's get in line. Oh, I was so close to my favorite ride. Luckily the character bus doesn't stick around very long and we are soon back on track to Soarin'.

By the time we got to the Land we had to fast pass Soarin, so we got in line to see Circle of Life and had still had plenty of time to make it for our lunch in the Garden Grill.

The Garden Grill is the only place we had any problems the whole trip. They called us for our table, but when we got to it, there was another family already seated. We went back out front and they called us for another table, it was a small booth, no way 6 of us would fit there. So back out front we go for another 10 minute wait and, thankfully, the third table was just right.

We saw Mickey, Chip, Dale, and Pluto (again). This time the characters all signed the soccer ball Fauna bought for her boyfriend. Pluto tried to eat the ball. I guess he thought it was a chew toy.

The food was ok. We do prefer the old menu. The breadstick appetizer was not very good. Dale didn't think so either. He was carrying around breadsticks in his pocket. His handler came and "argued" with Dale about the breadsticks. Told Dale to throw then away. Dale ripped a piece of the breadstick off and threw it over the wall into the desert area of the "Living with the Land" ride.

After lunch we had to ride Living with the Land (yes, we did find the bread in the scenery) and then hit Soarin' one last time.

Back to Beach Club to wait for our Magical Express bus. The bus came right on time. We were sad to go, but can’t wait for the next magical trip. (I promise, less princess meals next time …….)

During the flight home, Moose looks at me and says, "How many more days 'til our next trip?" Gotta love a diehard disney dad.

Have a magical day! :wave2:

Great reports - I've read the lot in one go! DS5 is also a little Grumpy - got on great with Pooh and friends at CP, but Mickey gave up getting him to smile at CM!

LOL, I'm so happy to see another family that just "had" to ride the horse with the golden ribbon in it's tail. When we went to BK with Cinderella and she told my DD who was 5 about her favorite horse with the Golden ribbon in it's tail I thought I would die, as I was sure that we would have to stand in a line 3/4 of a mile long after all of the other tiny princesses that had also had BK with Cindy. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised as my DD quickly found the horse while in line and got to ride it her first trip!

Thanks for the great report, I'm sad it has come to an end!

Great trip report, thanks for taking the time to write them up...
& keeping something about the title the same (so searches were easier)
& putting all the links in with the individual trip reports themselves.

By the way, I *LOVE* the idea about getting a soccer ball autographed by the characters. I had never thought about having them autograph a ball...I suppose that would work for basketballs, footballs, etc. We've done t-shirts before (figuring out an easy way to keep the shirt taut for signing beforehand) & even a visor, but I love the idea of a ball (& only carrying it to one character meal!)

agnes!

I just wanted to tell you that I've read all your trip reports from this trip and loved every one of them. It sounds like you guys had a great time. I especially liked the pics you included in each report.
