You don't get the sign up cupcake any more. My friend and I signed up and when we asked at DS why we didn't get the promo they said it was only when perks first launched and is no longer available.

This place has been hugely popular! Every time I've walked past there has been a line just to get in. However, its a nice orderly line, not chaos.

The birthday cupcake is good for about a week. I happened to just make it in time to get mine, when we were there in early June. My birthday was in late May.

As a side note, yes, the freebie perk expired sometime towards the end of May, I believe. My older DD and older niece also signed up, but they were a day too late. They were both very disappointed, because my sister and I signed up right after I found out about it, but our DDs waited a few days. Those few days cost them the freebie.

We took our cupcakes back to our room to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. The ones that were eaten right away were delicious. The ones that were sitting in the fridge for a couple days were not that great (kind of dry), but I supposed that's to be expected.

When we were there later in the evening, the line was still very long. However, I also thought it was nice and orderly, not chaotic at all. Maybe they got better, after being open for a few weeks.

When I signed up, the free one wasn't an option anymore either. It did however mention a free one for your birthday month, so I signed up dh since his is in Aug when we're going.
