Springtime Surprise Weekend 2025 (April 3-6)

I've done 36 in-person runDisney races. I'm actually amazed by everything I've accomplished thanks to runDisney!
Seeing all these big numbers for Disney races makes me feel like I have a long way to go! 😂

If I'm counting correctly, I have 21 runDisney races - but my pace has picked up - I had 5 in 10 years before the pandemic shut down in person races and 16 since January 2022. I've also run a lot more non-Disney races since 2022 as well than I used to.

Some folks use their DIS signatures as decoration - I use it as a data capture system because there is no way I’d remember all my races otherwise lol! Still, that was more mathing than I’d planned on for today.

It was made easier thanks to my list in my signature.
I don't have quite as many weekends/ races as the 2 of you - I can still count them in my head! (Even if I had to do it twice)

I did the math ..

10 rD wkknds
30 rD individual races
234 magic miles

40 rD medals …
(about us$100 each… registration cost only)

i’m happy that I’ m running… (before 2023 I didn't do any exercise at all…) … I’m happy to enjoy my happy place with an extended positive purpose… I’m happy to have added DVC to cover for all wkknds…

I just need to recognize I’m addicted to the mouse and feel more peace with the “happiness-investments” 🤣🤣

I feel like a RunDis newborn compared to all of your figures...I swear, I run A LOT just not at Disney.... 🤣

7 race weekends
10 races
104 miles

I have never run Spring time or Wine/Dine -- these are HM during January weekend or Princess miles.

Do I get credit if I say I purchased a DVC contract specifically for race weekends last year? 👀🤣

RIP to your wallet--you're hooked now 🤣🤣🤣

You posted this response to my post in October.. we just did the 10 miler this past Sunday and are already figuring out what run weekend to do next season haha

Such an amazing weekend and experience!! We are not “runners” but are active people and can’t wait to get back to do another one… the whole weekend from the expo on Friday to the pre race and run on Sunday .. taking advantage of the deals at Disney springs after race by showing your medal .. the organizers/workers/volunteers made the weekend run flawlessly for us and the fellow runners were awesome and very encouraging

Anyone who is even slightly apprehensive about doing a race don’t be!!!

I’m going to return this to Brooks, unless some here wants them… if so pls send a DM.

Mickey Mouse, women size 8 Wide

(I ordered two different sizes to try them on because I haven't used this shoe before)

Original price+ tax is fine. No extra fess other than shipment cost,

I’d like to thank rD for renewing my enjoyment of these race weekends. I had a really hard time with both the most recent W&D and MW and haven’t registered for the next ones: I really thought I was burned out on all things rD and that maybe I should stop running altogether, other than for general fitness. My body hasn’t handled long distance training well at all for the last few years, and the vibes and crowds of W&D and MW weren't fun for me.

But darned if that 10-Miler wasn’t an absolute joy from start to finish! I fully committed to costume, which is always so fun. I love that course.
I felt the same way about the very noticeable difference in vibes between MW and SS, even in the inaugural year! SIL and I ran the 10k that year since we happened to be vacationing in Orlando for spring break, and waiting in the corrals was a big party unlike MW where everyone is usually huddled in their layers, trying to figure out what life choices led them to this point. Don't get me wrong, I love the intensity of MW, but SS was definitely a great introduction to rundisney for SIL.

No. Math is stupid.

I got a runDisney survey! Anyone have anything they want me to include?

I'm definitely going to compliment them on moving the water stop off of the pathway to HS.

I only did the 10K but I loved the volume and variety of the character stops. I especially loved that they offered multiple stops for characters from the featured IP (Hercules) rather than one or two and rotating out characters. I also loved that they re-used the Muppet motivational videos along the course.
