Springtime Surprise Weekend 2025 (April 3-6)

My son is now looking forward to our trip! So I've decided that instead of running on Sunday and checking out, that we'll hit the parks again on Sunday and drive back on Monday. I'm looking forward to having time in the parks with him, after a 15 year hiatus.

Would anyone like to share a photo pass, or have one that they'd like to share for Springtime Surprise? It'll be for both race pics and park pics. I've never done the share a pass thing before, so not sure how it works.
My AP includes photo pass and I'd be happy to share! I know for the races it's as easy as entering the ID from your check-in passes. I'm not sure how it works for the park day -- easiest way may be to just pick up a photo pass card from the first photog you use and then I enter that into my account. Everything taken on it would then show up in my pics to download and send to you. DM me and we'll figure it out.

For photos in the park, they will show up in your MDE if you are friends and have photopass sharing turned on.

I mean....switching rooms totally isn't a big deal, especially if it's just for the first night. :rotfl2:
I’m sure this isn’t what you need to hear lol but I just did this for Princess weekend! It actually worked out pretty well because I was able to try the one day quick service dining plan hack and it ended up being worthwhile!

Is there a thread for Photopass sharing? I think we are set for Springtime (donated for a spot on someone's PP already) but we have a park trip next and then Wine and Dine (+ park days after) that I'd love to have PP for!

Welcome to the Dis Boards! You will probably find that folks are more likely to share with others they have interacted with and who have contributed to the Boards. First posts asking for favors are often ignored. Not trying to be snarky; it's just the way it is.

I don’t know if we were questioning whether the Brooks shoes would be at Springtime or not - I think we knew shirts…
Anyways, the runDisney blog confirmed shirts and shoes.

ETA: Just searched the thread and did see that they had said shoes before. My memory isn’t as great as it used to be!

2. Debut of runDisney x Brooks Running Shoes and Official Race Shirts

Starting with the 2025 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend, Brooks will offer shoes and provide official race shirts at runDisney race weekends. Gear up for more magical miles ahead with the debut of these limited-edition Disney-themed running shoes and race shirts, and stay tuned for more details on Instagram, Facebook, and Threads.

Any idea how the sale of the Brooks shoes will work? Will they be selling them in the main expo building (not with the official rD merch)? Also wondering if we will get a preview of what the shoes will look like.
If this discussion already happened and I missed it - my apologies!

I don’t think we’ve seen anything that indicates where yet.
Except - the race guide does say ‘Sponsor and Exhibitor Booths’ in the Athletic Center’.
So my guess it will be in the main vendor building, and be set up similar to how New Balance was. I wonder if they will have a virtual queue (or return time) for shopping?
Maybe everyone will show up early to get their bib - so they can enter the Athletic Center first, since that seems how you enter the Athletic Center now.

Is there anyone that can give an overview of what the runDisney New Balance sales were like? I’ve heard it was chaotic, but I wasn’t doing runDisney yet so I don’t know how it actually worked. It seems like it would be a much more complicated process than general merch because of sizing. I’d be interested in checking them out but I also don’t know if I want to subject myself to pure pandemonium in both the merch building and the vendor building

I don’t recall the NB situation being crazy but I was there for Dark Side, would imagine it was busier during other weekends.

In any case, definitely expecting craziness with Brooks, going to be a lot of foot traffic just to get a first view of what they’re selling.

I have friends who bought shoes. At that time you got a number and time window to report back for shoes. If they want to use the type of system, I imagine they’ll use another VQ. Groups were small too because NB could only fit so many at once.

I can’t remember exactly how the NB shoes worked. They were only around for 1 or 2 races when I started rD.
I seem to remember that you had to sign up through NB to get a return time and then receiving a text on when you could meet with an employee and checkout the shoes???

Thank you! I’ve only heard stories from people I’ve seen wearing the runDisney New Balances on line at the expo (before the VQ began and they’d hold everyone in that large room before the merch building officially opened). That doesn’t sound terrible at all, and a VQ makes sense. I wonder how much time would be allotted for this, because sneaker shopping isn’t usually a quick thing (at least it isn’t for me). Now I guess the next question is, if it’s a VQ will it it open at a different time than the runDisney merch VQ, or will they make people choose one over the other…

I don’t know if I’ll be interested in buying a pair but I am interested in seeing what they come up with! I hope they have multiple options and they share detailed descriptions online in advance to help the decision making process a little.
