Springsteen fans......................

Ack! I want to suprise DH with tickets to the Nov. concert in Tampa! But the tickets go on sale at 10:00 a.m. and that's the exact same time I'll be taking DD and my neice to a Build-A-Bear birthday party.

I'm waiting up for DS#2 to come home and hoping to give him instructions to buy the tickets online.

DH loves the Boss, and we've seen him several times before, but I'm hoping to get really good seats for this surprise!

Wow!!! You mean the Boss is coming to town and you can get reserve seating. He is only coming to Cincinnati if they give him festival seating(which was banned here after The Who concert that resulted in several deaths 20 some years ago). Well City Council gave him the waiver and now he is coming, but I just don't feel right going to see him when he held us at bay over the tickets.

Thanks for the heads-up Kev!!! :bounce:

Bfeller, are you sure about that? I've seen Springsteen several times in the mid-west the past few years, and he's always had reserved seating. . . including a concert in Louisville 2 years ago.

The only thing he insisted upon there was that you could only order 4 tickets at a time, and you had to give your name, pick up the tickets the evening of the concert, and show an ID. . that was so ticket brokers couldn't snatch up big blocks of seats and scalp them.. .

Do you have a link to any articles about this???

Oh, how I'd love to see him in concert...

Both of my sister's have several times & the one in SC has another chance!

Hope you all get great seats and have a blast. I can't imagine anyone putting on a concert like Bruce Springsteen!

Come on over to Kansas Ciry on Sept. 24th Brenda. . I'll snag you a ticket and we'll pound some NyQuil and jam to The Boss. . ;)

:teeth: :)

Willy, be careful what you ask me... I may show up. :) And BTW, I like Nyquil!!

Thanks for the link Dan.

First I must say that I am a Springstein fan. But I am really disappointed that he is doing concerts with reserve seating in other cities and for some reason is holding it above our city's head for festival seating. The city had a valid reason for banning that type of seating. I personnaly think that reserve seating is the way to go. Don't think I will waste my money on him now. This is really sad.

GA seating for sports and rock venues can be so very dangerous, as we have seen over the years, in many cities around the world. I recall Vince attending a U2 concert last year, doing GA, at the UC and I was relieved when I heard on the news that the concert had started, uneventfully.

How about mosh pits, Betty, you like those?? :)

All of Springsteen's concerts on this tour have general admission floor seating, and reserved upper tier seats. This is done to avoid scalpers charging $500+ for close to the stage seats, which cannot be guaranteed w/ general admission.

BTW, I got two seats for the Greensboro show! Even though they are upper level, they are in row A of that section.

I am getting way too old for the mosh pits Dan!!!

From what I understood, all the tickets for the Cincinnati concert were festival seating.

I went to a Beach Boys Concert about a month before The Who concert and I swear that my feet never touched the ground as we were walking into the Coliseum. I held on to Steve's belt loop of his pants so that we could stay together. I vowed that night that I would never go to another concert like that again.

I am getting way too cautious as I mature. I guess that I will just have to buy the CD to enjoy the Boss.

When I was trying for tickets this morning, all they had was general admisson (floor). I DID not want that. FINALLY, I was able to get lower bowl in a section that I feel will be good. Last time we saw him, we couldn't even see him. SO I was very happy when I got these seats.:)

We were shut out in New Jersey, so, we're gonna see Bruce in Orlando! and stay at POR for 4 nights too! YAY!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc
We got floor seats and two for the upper level. I think we're gonna sell the floors and keep the seats for ourselves.

Thanks Kev...you know I will be trying...don't want to miss this!!!

Ever hear about Creed coming back???

Get those tickets!! I saw him last week in Cleveland and the show is awesome!!:D
