We have stayed at the fairfield inn at marriott village twice. two nights on each visit. Haven't been inside the springhill though.

But the village is a nice area and a pretty good location. Right around the corner from an outlet mall with a disney outlet! Ask at the front desk its really close though.

Have you seen the web site marriottvillage.com the pictures are pretty acurate. And i think the springhill suites has a zero entry pool too. I don't think you'll be dissapointed at all.

We just stayed at the Springhill suites in Jan. Very good. The best part is that you can enjoy the excellent pool with zero entrance at all three hotels in this area.
The free breakfast is superb. Fresh muffins, milk, yogort, bagels, fruit, juice, cereal, etc all appeal to kids.
The suites have a micro and fridge. A couch area allow you to put child to bed and relax. We enjoyed the balcony as well.

It is so close to WDW. Lots of restaurants and factory outlets.

We stayed there in January and didn't like it - thought it very "sterile" feeling. And although you are "around the corner" from an outlet mall and a couple restaurants, nothing is really within walking distance - unless you like walking along busy roads. There are three hotels together, Springhill Suites, Clarion and Courtyard. The Courtyard has the best pool but you must get permission from the front desk there to use it if you are not staying at the Courtyard and they can refuse if the pool is already crowded with Courtyard guests (this may be an issue in June, it wasn't in Jan.). We also thought the "village" was somewhat lacking - just a couple fast food places, an arcade, a ticket seller, no real charm. The breakfast was limited too - just cold foods set out, my kids weren't crazy about it.

That said, the room was clean and roomy, with a decent sized fridge and microwave. But the traffic to WDW was a hassle. No further than a lot of other offsite favorites (i.e. Vistana, Caribe, etc.) but one of the best things about WDW is not sitting at traffic lights for a few days, whether on site, DD, or someplace such as HIFS that has a very direct and uncongested trip to the parks (we've stayed there too and it's a much better drive).

Much better to stay in DD with a Priceline room for the same money and feel like you're really at Disney (have stayed at both Grosvenor & Hilton and liked both places better than Springhill - also so easy to walk to DD there!).

While the priceline idea is good two thoughts. One you cannot get a suite on priceline so if you need one you can't go that route. Two you are NOT guranteed a DTD hotel. They offer several WDW area hotels in both 3 star and resort that are not in DTD.

I actually liked the Marriott Village.

Hey! We're headed to Springhill Suites in May - I'm getting fairly positive feedback, thank goodness! Anyway, I'm noticing lots of references to "Zero Entrance" for the pools - what exactly is that? Never heard that one before. Thanks!!

 :bounce: im not exactly sure what zero entry means. Its like being on the edge of a lake where it starts out shallow and then keeps getting deeper. Hope you like the marriot village! let me know when you get back what you thought of it. 10 days till hawaii!!!!! 107 days when we get back till DW!!!!!!!:smooth: :Pinkbounc
