Spring trip - How to decide when? closures vs crowds vs ???

We're considering a spring trip, anytime from the end of Jan until early May. This is a weekend getaway - short trip (2 nights) focusing on EPCOT and the MK. I've read through the crowd calendars and it looks like sooner is better. However, I'm not finding any amazing hotel rates. There don't appear to be any big ride closures. So how do I decide?

Also, if you had to pick in that time frame, what would you select?

We went first week of May 2015 and are going back the last week of April this year. Usually the very end of April and first few weeks of may are considered come of the best weeks to visit. Lower crowds, lower humidity etc. I'd suggest going then. Maybe I'll see you there!
