Well, February Sweeps is over, and so it is time for the new Spring television series. Good thing, too, since some of the regular series are now going back into reruns for a while, some of the short-term winter series are ending, and some other series are just becoming too tiresome to continue wasting time watching them.

These are the ones that seem interesting to us. Is anyone considering checking out any of these new series?

ROBIN HOOD (already started)
WEDDING BELLS start 3/7/07
OCTOBER ROAD starts 3/15/07
RAINES starts 3/15/07
TUDORS starts 4/1/07
PAINKILLER JANE starts 4/13/07
DRIVE starts 4/15/07

I'll be giving Drive and The Wedding Bells a chance to prove themselves. To be honest, I've never even heard of the rest of these. :confused3

BTW, not a new show but So You Think You Can Dance returns on May 24th!
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

DRIVE is one of the two least interesting of the list, for me. I like Nathan Fillion, but the premise of the show seems too thin to work out IMHO.

WEDDING BELLS sounds incredible. It's the product of the minds of both David E. Kelly and Jason Katims, so it cannot help but be great.

OCTOBER ROAD is another one I'm rather not terribly keen about. So far, it looks like they're only planning on presenting four episodes, so what's with that? The only thing that even caught my attention about it was that it has Eric's girlfriend, from That 70's Show (Laura Prepon), is on it. :confused3

ROBIN HOOD is from BBC America. I've seen the premiere and it looks very well done!

RAINES sounds very good. It's Jeff Goldblum, so it'll clearly be funny, and there is a genre aspect to the show (he's a detective that can talk to the dead crime victims) which makes it even more interesting.

The TUDORS replaces the L WORD on Showtime. Both HBO and Showtime tend to at least one really great series running at all times, and it sure looks like they've put a whole bunch of work into the TUDORS.

PAINKILLER JANE is the new Sci-Fi Channel series.

In terms of returning series:

4,400 returns 6/3/07
DEAD ZONE returns 6/3/07
KYLE XY returns 6/4/07
SHIELD returns 6/5/07
BIG LOVE returns 6/10/07
CLOSER returns 6/11/07
STARGATE: SG-1 returns 6/15/07
STARGATE ATLANTIS returns 6/15/07

RAINES sounds very good. It's Jeff Goldblum, so it'll clearly be funny, and there is a genre aspect to the show (he's a detective that can talk to the dead crime victims) which makes it even more interesting.

I'll be checking that one out too. I love Jeff Goldblum!!! What station is that going to be on?

RAINES is on NBC, Fridays from 9:00 PM-10:00 PM EST.

I'm looking forward to the Tudors and the Sopranos.....:thumbsup2

We're still working our way through Season 1 of the SOPRANOS, so we won't be catching the last season of it (which is depressing, considering that we're watching DVDs, which are 480p, while HBO is broadcasting the series in HD).
