No PIN for me (no email and I called) The CM I talked to said there are no new general public offers today. So disappointing!

I am wondering this too. I am booked for May at the Poly with the recent 40% off discount. So if I were lucky enough to have the FD pin code, what would be the better deal??

It's just the regular reservations number 1-407-W-Disney.

And, yes, you can add a discount code to an existing reservation.

Yes! I called this morning and was able to get the 4/3-8/13 Free Dining!. I was told it was Free QS Dining for Values and Moderates and the regular Dining Plan for Deluxe. It would cost $12 per day/per adult or $1 per day/per child to upgrade to the regular Dining Plan.

BTW, I first inquired if there were any special discounts like free dining in Aug and the CM said no. Then I asked if she could please check for any pins under my name or my household and bingo!

This is my first time to be told "Yes, you have a pin" without already knowing due to an email I had already received. I did get the previous room discount pin that expired yesterday so not sure if that is significant or not. I have been playing with dates online for the past month or so.

I was hoping for a room discount offer. We are currently booked offsite. If a discount comes avail for our August days we will switch to onsite. From the way things look I think we will be staying offsite this year.

Just called and didn't get the most helpful CM at first. Called and entered my current reservation number with 35% off moderate for 8/4-13. Told him I just wanted to see if there were any discounts that would improve my deal. He originally said there was nothing that would be a better deal. I said ok, but what are the codes that I have? He asked what specifically I was looking for. I told him I just wanted to know what my options were. He put me on hold and came back and asked if there was a reason I did not have dining. I told him that we had never done the dining plan so hadn't really considered it. (so the part about never having it before is true) He put me on hold again. Came back and said I had Free Quick Service Dining, would I want it? So, I ran the numbers really quickly and for us (2 parents and 3 teens), losing the moderate room discount and getting free food is a better deal. Plus the added benefit of getting 5 of the new mugs for free also. So, that is my story, hope it helps others.

I just called and asked about the public pin and was told no, not public you need a pin specific to you. I asked if he could check and was told yes I have a fd pin attached to my name. I got a quote but didn't book it yet. Not sure how hubby will feel about this LOL...wish me luck!!!

Nothing for us. I had them try both our current and previous address. The last time that I received a code was over a year ago! Who does and doesn't receive them makes no sense considering we camped there for a month last summer and spent two weeks there last February at POR.

Hmmm...I called and the CM I spoke to said there are no pins associated with my name. However, I called a travel agent last week and she called on my behalf. She was told there IS one for me beginning 3/1. Apparently, she is more charming than I. I asked her to call again today, so we'll see!

Chalk this up to another inconsistency.

Our trip had been booked through Magical Journeys a few months back. A couple weeks ago my TA sent me an e-mail stating I had received the Free Dining pin, which she had already applied to our package. Love her!

I actually just called Dis and it is a PIN. I have it but we can't use it :-( We are going at the end of September and it is only good till 8/13.

Just called and no to a pin for us for Aug FD. He said to keep checking
and sounded hopeful but do they do that just to keep your hopes up?
He had me wait on hold until he had "to check something with someone else"
didn't understand that either...

FREE DINING dates released: Disney Visa holders can book, starting today, free dining packages for the dates of August 28 - September 24, 2011. These free dining dates will open for general public bookings on Monday, May 2. If you check in by September 24, you can receive the free dining discount for your length of stay, up to 14 nights.
