I had a fun time grocery shopping today! My store doesn't have a shopping card because it's like a discount retailer. I had about $20.00 in manufactures coupons this week. My bill was $104.25 for a family of 4. This includes soda and cat supplies, and snacks.
I bought all my meat last week. This week there was a special on soda. Buy 2 20 packs of Pepsi products and get a free 12 pack of Dew. I also found Weight Watchers meals for $1.69 each and had coupons for 3 free meals and $3.00 off. Those meals will last me for the whole month for lunch. I also bought a huge bag of paper towels for $4.00 which will last me for months.
This week we are eating:
Chicken pot pie soup from the Foodnetwork.com site
crockpot roast pork with veggies (bought the roast last week and made 2)
Emerils cowboy caserole
sweet and sour chicken
steak nite
tuna caserole
meatloaf muffins and loaded mashed potatoes(had last night)
chili
manwiches and fries
Have a great week everyone!

I am just not sure yet what I am in the mood for.

. It really does pay to have a stocked house and then just get the essentials. DH and I even splurged for a few items to share. We got a huge sticky bun and cut it in half last night and I bought a loaf of garlic/cheese bread to go with dinner tonight. I would never have done this before but with the lower bills you don't feel so guilty...
Also bought a huge pork loin that I will get 4-5 meals from. It was pretty much my first meat purchase (other than fish) since the end of last year! We have really gotten our freezer meat surplus down to a manageable amount.
