We are planning a 2012 trip to Disney, maybe in the spring instead of the summer due to our schedules. I am thinking Spring (and of March or the first week or two of April) but then thought about Spring Break but I am unsure exactly what weeks of March/April Spring Break will be. Does anyone know which is usually busier, The time frame above for Spring or Summer?

Usually it would be better to aim for Summer. But when are summer are you thinking of? There will be busy times in June and August do to AP blockouts closing and opening. Also DCA will have a new entrance and Carsland opening which will draw more crowds.

I'd aim for the second half of July or first half of August. Better is the last week of August when things slow down as some schools restart.

we had plans for the end of July but may have to do the spring instead. I would rather do the summertime, we always go in the summer and I know what the crowds are like already. Do you think spring break time is busier than summer? Has there been a opening date for Carsland yet?

Spring break in the couple weeks around Easter is worse. The couple weeks before and after that core period is similiar to summer.

Carsland is not expected until early summer. It could open earlier but the chances are slim for Spring Break.

No date for Carsland yet. But it'll be sometime in the summer. The busiest spring break weeks are the week before and after Easter (April 8 next year) and will rival Christmas crowds. If you could go mid March crowds won't be as bad.

I would definately do summer. I have been many times in summer and even though everyone says it's crowded it is totally doable especially with the fast pass system. During school breaks and holidays it is even more busy as people want to get away for a short time where as in summer people want to get away but they all go at different times during the 3 month period not all in one week. Plus, there will be no rain and it will be swimming weather and water ride weather.:santa:
