our Junior high theatre was good too! not as much seniority a politics. i got the lead all three years, even in sixth grade!:cool1:

Our high school doesn't do musicals, they do plays though, I think. I'm not much of a theater person, although I do enjoy being in musicals so much (As in Missoula Children's Theater, but I couldn't be in those the past few years because of band) One year I did get a lead role in the Princess and the Frog version for MCT. I was Princess Peppy. It was really really cheesy (like over-the-top cheesy). But still, it was fun. I was in Little Red Riding Hood, the Princess and the Frog, and Hansel and Gretel ((two times))

But our middleschool did have a class that everyone had to take where they put on a musical for a semester. I loved it. It was a full-fledged musical, and I was in three of them.

We did Seussical the Musical my sixth grade year. I was a wickersham "sister" (They had three girls leading them instead of boys).

In seventh grade we did a Midsummer's night's dream. I can't remember what I was in that, I was part of the chorus I think. I had one little singing line.

And in eighth grade I was part of Fiddler on the Roof, although I was part of the chorus on that one too.

The opposite classes did some kind of tropical musical, Into the Woods, and Le Miserables. There are lots more, but sadly the program got cancelled because of schedualling conflicts or something like that.

I like dancing the most, followed by acting then singing. I have had 10 years of dance lessons before I had to quit for band. I was in 7 years of ballet and 3 years of Modern.

you got a good part for it being your first show!!!! alot of times they won't trust newbies with lines and solos
that's not my part hahaha, just the song I was posting, and it's wayyyy not my first show

your junior high did Les Miserables????? even the school version of that is over the top complex and deep. kudos to them, most schools wouldn't even attempt that. a high school in a different district in my area tried to pull it off, but it didn't turn out right.

Musicals:
Peter Pan
The Sound of Music
Annie

Plays:
The Good Person of Sichuan
The Government Inspector

So far I've made every show I've tried out for. Hoping that continues in the future too!

what were you in Annie???? and congrats on making everything you've tried out for!

Yes they did. It seemed as if they picked the classes just for that musical. The grades are split into two sections (A and B) The B section that year was just loaded with singers, although we did have a really good actor in our grade musical that year (I was in the A section, which means we do our musical first) To me it was good, but I'm not sure how it stacked up to the real thing since I hadn't seen it. It was really long too, like over two hours (that's long for a middle school musical which usually runs an hour and a half).

We just have an awesome elementary music teacher. She is really really awesome. She does little performances (like choir performances) every fall and spring for the elementary kids too.
