Now that most place's fall musicals are over, the musicals for spring are usually announced. Tomorrow at my choral concert my school's musical will be announced.

I'M SO FRICKING EXCITED. I've been waiting to be in a high school play since I was four and I saw Little Shop of Horrors at the school. I. Can't. Wait.

Of course, I'm a freshman, so I probably won't get a big role, but still, YAY!

Our school hasn't announced the spring musical yet, but I can't wait.

I'm a techie, I help build the set and I help move it xD

I love theater, I've always wanted to audition but I know I never will :p

Yeah, the shows are starting in our school!

The first one premiered tonight and will be going on until Friday- it's "The Wedding Singer." I'm going because I get extra credit for my government class...but it's not like I wouldn't go if I didn't get extra points or anything

My school has already had auditions for the school play this spring. It's not a musical, we don't do musicals in middle school.

Our musical was announced at the end of last year...Annie!!! I am so excited because I've always dreamed of being in a production of it. We had our first meeting for it today, learn the dance on Saturday, then the song on Tuesday, and auditions are the next week.

I'm a total theatre kid...been in 2 plays and 1 musical (sound of music...nun baby! haha) so I am so excited to be back working on another show! :yay:

We are doing the "School Version" of Grease. Auditions are happening right now. acting auditions are tonight wish me luck.

Ew. Just found out we're doing The Sound of Music.

Love the movie, hate the fact our school is doing it.

My school is doing Beauty & The Beast for the spring musical. (:

we're doing les miz this weekend i think. i didn't even bother auditioning, since things in my school's drama department are really petty and competitive. i was in three musicals from 7th to 9th grade though; beauty and the beast, high school musical, and bye bye birdie. the director we had was THE BEST evarz, and the plays were so much fun for everybody, even the chorus. i cried like a baby after BBB ended. i miss my junior high musicals.

My school is doing Once Upon A Mattress. I'm the student director, which is such a crazy big responsibility, yet so much fun. Last year I was student director too, the year before that I was in the cast, and I didn't do the show freshman year. The cast list came out the day before Thanksgiving, and we've already had a few dance rehearsals. But that's only because our choreographer has a bunch of conflicts in January, when we're supposed to start rehearsals officially. So far it's coming along great. We have a great cast and crew this year :)

My high school's doing The Music Man. Vocal auditions were Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I sang Shy from Once Upon a Mattress for my vocal audition. The dance auditions were today. Both went great, despite the fact that, as I was going in to the auditorium for my vocal audition, Dexter told me "Good Luck." :scared1::scared1: But, it went well anyway. :goodvibes Since I'm a Freshman, I doubt I'll get a big role, but I just wanna be a part of it. It'll be great. :thumbsup2

We only do musicals once a year, and we're doing White Christmas next week.

We'll probably do something boring for the play, we always do.

my school has already casted for the spring musical.
we are doing grease. i'm not in it but my school does a REALLY good job with plays & esp. musicals so i am excited to see it.

Twins!

We're doing The Pajama Game. Auditions are in about two weeks. :)

Just got the news-- I made Callbacks!!! :cool1: :cool2: :cheer2: :dance3: :woohoo: :woohoo: I can't believe it!! Freshman almost NEVER make Callbacks!! :thumbsup2
Long story short-- My sister was told by Ryan who saw the list.. and she just called. I can't believe it!! I'm really excited!! I hope Callbacks go as well as my audition! :goodvibes  :yay: :cool2:

That's what we did last year. It is actually a really awesome show. The nuns chorus songs are unbelievable and it's just a super fun show.

I'm so jealous!!! I would love my school to do grease, but our summer theatre did it a few years ago and apparently our director hates it so probably not gonna happen :sad1:

We only do a Fall Musical at my school and we do a play in the Spring!
But this year for the Fall Musical they did Bye Bye Birdie and it was pretty amazing! Alot of my friends were in the chorus so it was really cool to see them be in it and having such a great time!
I don't know what there doing for the Spring play but the play is never as good as the musical, last year the did You Can't Take it With You it was pretty good but not as good as the Fall Musical Peter Pan where Peter Pan actually flew they hired a company from the East Coast to make the character actually fly which was pretty amazing, the musical is always a huge deal here

That is sooo cool you got your Peter to fly. I was in a production of it once where all they did was step back and forth and swing their arms and that was "flying"....it was so stupid!

In the fall we always do a play play and this year it's It's a wonderful life. In the spring our musical is singing in the rain.
