Has anyone reently stayed at Marriott's Spring Hill Suites?

I've stayed in a few of them around the country. They are about the most basic suites type hotel you'll find. They're not my favorite. The soundproofing seems to be consistently lousy and the rooms are very small compared to a Residence Inn or Homewood Suites.

The SHS on Int'l Drive and the Marriott Village are both very nice. You will be happy in both. Check out their Trip Advisor sites.

Thanks for the info - has anyone recently stayed at the one on I Drive- and used the WDW theme park shuttles? DH has a conference here in May so I might tag along without kids - it's offsite yet a chance for me to do Disney solo like I've always wanted. Free hotel & airfare is just too tempting to pass up!

I have stayed at the SHS on I Drive, but have never used the transportation. The hotel itself is nice though. Its not right on I Drive, which I like.

I can't believe you would go to Disney while he is stuck in a convention all day ;)

Stayed at all the MV properties, like the SHS best because the rooms are larger, and breakfast is included (never used the transportation, so cannot comment). MV is in a nice location, close to shopping and restaurants, not too far from WDW (though high traffic; tip: leaving the hotel, turn right on Vineland. Then, instead of turning right--which is always busy--on 535 towards I-4 and DTD entrance, turn left (south). Then a few lights down, turn right on 536, straight into EPCOT and WDW). FWIW.
