We are coming down for a 4 day weekend 10/28-11/1 doing 3 park days and an Oogie Boogie Bash night. We are going to be a fam of 6; kids 4, 9 and 2 teenagers.

We are looking at family suites at both Springhill and the new Element, both are similar distance (I think) and both offer free breakfast.

We are driving from Oregon, so will have a car.

Prices are nearly identical; HELP!

I always look at these two because they are identical for point redemptions and my usual party is 2A 3teens. I have always ended up at Springhill since it looked closer to me although Google puts the walk to the main gate at 15 minutes (for us its a little over a 10 minute walk), and the walk from the Element according to the internet is 18 minutes. The Springhill breakfasts were great pre-COVID, we've stayed there twice since then (May and September) and because they are in a line-serving fashion now instead of buffet, it too way too long for our tastes so we skipped and ate breakfast in the park. The Element is newer, but just by a year or two, the rooms we've stayed in have been well-kept. Parking is $2 cheaper at the Element. I'm guessing you're planning on walking to the parks?

Yes definitely walking to the parks. I’m having such a hard time deciding.

We are a family of 5 and have stayed at the Springhill a number of times and LOVE it. The walk is a bit far at the end of the night but there are so many other people walking that you don't really notice it. It has a great rooftop terrace where you can see the fireworks and some of the rooms have a theme park view. Also, having that CVS there was great. We picked up snacks and water that we would take to the parks. Parking is underground and they let you stay even after you've checked out. Some hotels don't allow that.

I like Springhill.. never stayed at Elements.
Walk on Harbor is fine...probably more interesting than Disney Way. At morning and night, you'll be walking without park goers so should feel safe.
Parking is in a structure shared with Residence Inn. Lots of space there.
CVS, 7/11, Walgreens are all there. Want more food, can go down Harbor or walk to GardenWalk.
Most of the restaurants are on the Katella side of Gardenwalk which is closer to Springhill than Element

Element looks like a fine hotel as well, but I have no experience there.
