Yes he did say they figured out something they could throw together very quick and cheap.BPK was a cheap flip and very high margins.
Dear Josh & DVC Leadership,I sure hope they need some more quick cash for these expansions then![]()
Didn’t Disney declare half of BPK around February 2022 and the other half around June of 2022?They had already declared all of the points…. and the reason they flipped it to DVC was because they couldn’t fill the rooms.
well, I am a vegetarian but very glad I sampled this particular rotisserie chickenI had a good chat with an OG guide and he said basically the VGF fire sale was a rotisserie chicken. They took a loss in order to meet goals and get an influx of cash when it was needed due to plans like reflections being cancelled.
This is all hearsay
1000% this.Dear Josh & DVC Leadership,
If you want to fire sale any more theme park adjacent flagship hotels (even if you’ve done a cheap flip to studios), especially to fund park expansions, we are more than happy to help you out.
Xo,
Your friends at DISboards
Like tomorrow one day? So tonight around midnight? Im so behind since I was not interested in purchasing more points. One day more…
That seems to be what I've picked up too. Hard to see anything like that right now. Maybe something to help clear out RIV before LSL? But, they've got some more time for that - March direct sales showed quite an uptick for RIV, so maybe it really is as simple as telling the guides to push one resort more than the other.hadn't they done some other wonderful sales a year or two or three before the VGF sale?
like, wasn't there a really good Aulani or Riviera sale during COVID?
I think the really good sales happen where there are extraneous factors - proxy fights, a global pandemic, etc.
Of course there will be because my AP expired 10 days ago. You're welcome AP holders who are looking to buy. That seems to be what I've picked up too. Hard to see anything like that right now. I think there will probably be an AP discount in the next incentive period just like there was last year to coincide with the VIPassholder days coming this summer.
I think I am gonna roll the dice and see whats next round. I will be in Aulani in August and they might still have that extra 1k.One more day of current incentives - we'll have new ones Tuesday. So, if you want to straddle, better call your guide tomorrow![]()
It really seems like they're just repeating the same pattern as last year, so I think that is smart. An Aulani extra $1k and Welcome Home week incentives could be pretty amazing.I think I am gonna roll the dice and see whats next round. I will be in Aulani in August and they might still have that extra 1k.
Every time we stay there it has always been in the room at vdhThanks! We'll be there in June. I wonder if they will have any left. Do you think I should I ask at the front desk at check-in or ask the CM in the DVC office?
Honestly, I was going off the title of the thread, haven’t paid close attention, but I’m usually up until midnight and enjoy perusing the new sheets with the insomniacs and bargain hunters…which I think will be about 24-26 hours from now.One more day of current incentives - we'll have new ones Tuesday.
