So close, the answer we were looking for is “scrolling DISboards discreetly under the table.”Drawing up the liability waiver or NDA?![]()
Also one other add for anyone going to Disneyland, DVC giving out a Disneyland 70th (I guess you can describe it as a print?) "picture" at check in for your stay. Bizarrely, I did not get one at check in initially, but my room key stopped working and a helpful cast member gave me one when I got it fixed mid-stay.
Ill try and track it down for you, it comes in a yellow envelope which wound up on my kids carry-on backpack to make it home. Ill look tonight.Could you take a picture of the print? I'd love to see it. Were you staying in the Disneyland villas or the Grand Californian villas?

We stayed at both actually. This was at Grand Cal.
I'd ask at the front desk, they seemed to have them available. Thanks! We'll be there in June. I wonder if they will have any left. Do you think I should I ask at the front desk at check-in or ask the CM in the DVC office?
Just spitballin here. Since LSL is a summer 2027 opening and comparing this to the opening of Poly Tower they had a fire sale for VGF in late summer 2023. Disney announced the opening date for the tower in May 2024 with an opening date in December 2024. Recent DVC news article estimates RIV to be sold out by August 2027. Highly doubt Disney will let it get that far, to me a “fire” sale in late summer seems likely as looking back year by year Disneys best promotion tends to be late summer. Would line up quite perfectly with sales beginning in early 2027 for LSL.I also think that with the latest RIV sales numbers (showing marked improvement from Jan and Feb) combined with the summer 2027 opening date of LSL, I’d say any sort of RIV fire sale looks less likely today than it did before that information.
I had a good chat with an OG guide and he said basically the VGF fire sale was a rotisserie chicken. They took a loss in order to meet goals and get an influx of cash when it was needed due to plans like reflections being cancelled.Based on @wdrl articles from 2023, VGF average monthly pace (prior to the fire sale of 2023) was on pace to sell out summer of 2024. Island Tower didn’t start sales until October 2024, so it’s pretty safe to say it would have sold out before Island Tower regardless.
More likely the fire sale was to help fight the Peltz proxy battle. I am happy Peltz didn’t get a chance to split the company up and sell it all off. Maybe it would have been good for or maybe it would have harmed DVC.
I guess we will find out soon whether Disney is panicking or happy.
ding ding ding!BPK was a cheap flip and very high margins.
Interesting that they would wait until the VGF end ti get an influx of cash via fire sale.I had a good chat with an OG guide and he said basically the VGF fire sale was a rotisserie chicken. This is all hearsay
Chapek….ding ding ding!
poor workmanship also was a feature with it...
They had already declared all of the points…. and the reason they flipped it to DVC was because they couldn’t fill the rooms.Interesting that they would wait until the VGF end ti get an influx of cash via fire sale.
