Spring Direct Incentives 2/9-4/27

No they don’t. They can add them to the trust as is, and set up exchanges via BVTC, and collect fees from current owners as part of a RTU plan to use their inventory.

They don’t even need to sell under a new RTU plan right away. That is how the trust can help them as they transition because with this model they never sell the property.

For example, they keep BRV and BWV to start and take BCV off line to renovate. Now, when that is done, they sell it and take one of the others offline, etc.
I don’t quite follow this and it reads like a game of 3 card Monty, but it does mention that Disney would “collect fees from current owners.” Which sounds a lot like selling.
If I understand “deed expiration” correctly, unless they pony up some significant cash, they will experience being former owners.

Once the 2042 expires, all inventory goes back to Disney. All that needs to happen is that that Disney gives to DVD, like they did with the cabins.

They then add it into the trust as trust property.

They don’t need to sell new RTU contracts for those properties in order for them to offer for use by other DVC owners via BVTC.

Basically, those rooms, once they revert back, can immediately come back online for cash and DVC bookings if that is what they want to do.

They are not going to be faced with the resorts that somehow can’t be used.

ETA: What I mean by a fee is that at 7 months current DVC owners would be allowed to access those resorts as an exchange, and BVTC would charge a per reservation fee to access.

I never thought we could ever be timeshare owners, but it was our experience using my siblings Interval certificates that became the gateway for it all. When I told the DH how much better the resale value is on DVC, using the points system, & annual dues, vs other timeshares, and then went over our past cash stays at Disney, it was a no brainer. The Newport Villas are in a beautiful location, and the Crystal Cove Shake Shack is the best!

Wish the math made sense to buy those Saratoga Springs direct points along with my 150 at VDH. Not sure how often direct points come down to this price in the next year or two, and it would be nice to have more unrestricted points to back up future stays.
I wish it was in the 40s but it's over 50 and thats too rich for me to buy at once 🤣 I may be buying more Saratoga resale when this one is paid down however, im not leaving that off the table, but im thinking a longer contract now that I have vdh would better serve me.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about lolll was loveboat a dating show and how did it go from yacht club is for old people to making babies I love it lollll
Love Boat was a weekly TV drama that took place on a cruise ship. Plenty of romance ensued. It was followed by Fantasy Island, which was also good :) (Sorry Sandy)

It sounds good haha. It has to be dvc related can we cruise swap into the love boat

There already is---there has been a lot of residential growth to the north recently, in e.g. Winter Gardens. They take Reams Road to Floridian to get on to property. It's either that or go all the way around to Western Way. The guy who owns CoasterBuzz moved there from Ohio years ago.

I would love to see a resort with direct access into MK added to DVC so perhaps overly optimistic lol.

It makes sense from a traffic perspective to handle the local growth over the last decade.

I wonder though, this is only the best route for MK coming from the north. Seems WDW is always moving routes around to more precisely control where and how it flows. Would they go through this much effort just for the increase of north locals going to one park? This isn’t really the best route for the other 3 parks for the majority of them.

This is a major re-route.

My overly optimistic side thinks it would’ve been impossible to add another resort without it, while they could’ve done something less severe to handle increased local traffic coming from the north to MK.

For those rewriting their contracts to take the new incentives, did you have to sign a document allowing them to rewrite the contract and then get an entirely new contract to sign?
We just got an "authorization to rewrite or modify purchase agreement". How long did it take for you to get the new contract after that?
