Spring Direct Incentives 2/9-4/27

While I enjoy the hunt, DVC makes this much more complicated than it needs to be to determine the final price.

So bottom line (all discounts and MB) what would the best price for VDH?
Im going to try to figure this out lol

No I don't.

Even though they could end up being close to the same price and maybe SSR actually comes out on top because of dues OKW still has special meaning being the first.
Also the 11 month window does help if you want to book the cheapest GV in all of DVC which is about 150 points less than the ones at SSR for a week.
Very true (though the winter rates at the HHI GV may be lower), however, it's still the lack of elevators that does it for us...

Thank you @ClaraOswald - my new quote didn't include the Visa discount. So I called my guide and the new incentives end up being better now!!!
For my Poly contract there is the basic incentive plus $500 D23, $1000 Anniversary discount, and $1000 Visa discount. It ended up saving me about $600 over the prior incentives. The guide is rewriting the contract now.
So glad you posted this! My guide agreed to rewrite my contract and I’m saving.

Just called my guide and bought 200 SSR points to go along with my 160 resale! Been needing more points (perpetually borrowing) and been wanting some direct for the reasons everyone knows, so this is my entry into being a hybrid member finally! Super excited!
Congrats! How much after all discounts?

If anyone is calling your guide, I highly recommend asking what additional discounts there are. I did that this morning and was told "your incentives are $2724, you are getting everything". Then after Clara mentioned the Visa discount, I called back to check if that was included in the prior quote and it wasn't. So ask specifically what each discount/incentive is available to see if you qualify for it. I don't understand why they aren't more forthcoming. I get their commission is tied to the overall cost, but it stinks for them to not at least ask if you qualify for each available discount.

I don't know how to read this. Where is @Stargazer65 when you need them

This happened to me as well buying last cycle. Not every discount was included, and I had to go back and tell him something was not adding up.

I don't know if it was necessarily intentional because my guide also told me "there are no deals on CCV right now," which was not accurate. I think people here might know more than they do. Makes me wonder how many people buy DVC and "miss" relevant incentives.

I assume it was 2026 points that you sold back to them?
Only if it was a February use year. You should still be able to March as I believe their is enough time. @Brian Noble had the time frame before but I can't remember it off the top of my head. The others April, June, August, September, October and December shouldn't be a problem to sell back 2025 points.

Ok i think I did it wrong and fixed it 🤣🤣🤣 i think it is exactly the same at 200 points this cycle and last with all the discounts 🤣🤣 I think i did 150 and 250 right 🤣🤣

Just noting that I don't believe the guides get advance notice of the new incentives and promotions, so a lot of times when we call them on the first day of incentives, we actually know before they do. That said, I think it is certainly common for them to not mention discounts unless asked for.
